2 .2 C HAPTER T WO : I NSTALLA TION Connecting Cable TV T o connect to a cable TV system, follow the instructions below . Cable without a Cable Box ▼ 1 Plug the incoming cable into the VHF/UHF antenna terminal on back of the TV . Because this TV is cable-ready , you do not need a cable box to view unscrambled cable channels.
C HAPTER T WO : I NSTALLA TION 2 .3 I NST ALLA TION Connecting to a Cable Box that Descrambles All Channels ▼ 1 Find the cable that is con- nected to the ANTENNA OUT terminal on your cable box. This terminal might be labeled “ANT OUT”, “VHF OUT” or simply , “OUT”.
2 .4 C HAPTER T WO : I NSTALLA TION 4 Connect a coaxial cable between the ANTENNA OUT terminal on the cable box and the B–IN terminal on the A/B switch. 5 Connect another cable between the other OUT terminal on the splitter and the A – IN terminal on the RF (A/B) switch.

C HAPTER T WO : I NSTALLA TION 2 .7 I NST ALLA TION Connecting a DVD Player (Option) The rear panel jacks on your TV make it easy to connect a DVD player to your TV . Note: For an explanation of Component video, see your DVD player's owner's manual.

C HAPTER T WO : I NSTALLA TION 2 .9 ▼ 3 Replace the cover . Remove the batteries and store them in a cool, dry place if you won ’ t be using the remote contr ol for a long time. The remote contr ol can be used up to about 23 feet from the TV . (Assuming typical TV usage, the bat- teries last for about one year .

O PERA TION 3 .9 C HAPTER T HREE : TV O PERATION Labeling the Channels (TXN2734F / TXN2434F / TXN2730F / TXN2726) Use this feature to assign an easy-to-remember label to any channel (i.e., “CBS”, “ESPN”, “PBS2”, CNN1”, etc.) A label consists of four fields, where each field is a letter , a num- ber , “*”, or a blank.
