8 ELECTRICAL CO NNECTION All wiring must comply with local and national elec trical codes and must be installed by a qualif ied electrician. Check available power s upply and resolve any wiring pr oblems BEFORE installi ng and operating t his unit. This air conditioner should be pro perly grounded for your safety .
9 OPERATING YOUR AI R CONDITIONER CONTROL PANEL KEY PAD ON/OFF To turn power ON, press ON/OFF key once. The unit will run at AUTO mode (default). LCD window will display the AUTO icon. To tu rn pow er OFF, press it again. TEMPERATURE Press ( and ) keys to select a suitable temperat ure setting.
10 OPERATING YOUR AI R CONDITIONER AUTO Display When this sequence is select ed, after pressing the MODE button, the corresponding sign al indicator is lit. In this mode, your unit w ill logically choo se a desired room temperature. If the temperature is not comfortable for you, t he desired MODE can be selected manually.
11 REMOTE CONTROL STRUCTURE AND OPERATION The remote control uses 2 alkaline dry ba tteries (AAA 1.5V). To install the batteries, slide back the cover and mount them according to the signs (+ and -) shown on the rear compartment. NOTE: If you plan not to use the co ntrol for several weeks, remove the batt eries.

If the ba tteries need to be replaced or thrown away, the b atteries must be removed and disposed of in accordan ce with the curren t laws as it may p resent an envir o nmental hazard.
13 CARE AND MAINTENANCE • When servic ing the air conditioner, be s ure t o turn your appliance OFF and dis connect the power cord from the electrical outlet. • Do not us e gasoline, benzine, thinner or other chemicals on the air conditioner as these substances may cause dama ge to the paint finish and deform ation of plastic parts.

25 CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO • Cuando vaya a hacerle servicio a su aire condicionado, asegúrese de apagarlo y desconectarl o del enchufe de pared. • No use gasolina, bencina, tiner u otros químicos para limpiar su aire condicionado, est as substancias podrí an c ausar daños al acabado de la pintura y deformar las partes plás t icas.
