Redialing the Last Number All incoming, o utgoing and missed ca lls are listed in the Recent Calls Menu. If the number or caller i s listed in your Addr ess Book, the name associated displays.

Section 7: Messaging 47 Mobile Email Options The following are the o ptions available for the Mobil e Email menu. Press Options to select from the following options. • Select : allows you to access the sign-in screen for the highlighted email client.
48 • Send Message : allows you to send the message. • Insert : allows you to insert T ext T emp lates, Address Book , or Favorites. • Te x t Te m p l a t e : allows you to apply one of the preset message templates to the text. Select one of the 10 items stored in the T ext messages templ ate menu.

50 • Insert : allows you to add a message text from the T emplates folder , an entry from the Address Book, or a URL address in the Favorites folder . • Save to : save the message in the Drafts folder or a folder you ha ve created in the My Folder option.

52 Retrieving an Multimedia Message When a new Multim edia message comes in, the displa y shows the Multimedia Message icon ( ) and a text notifica tion along with the sender’ s number . 1. Press the Vie w soft key or the key to view brief informa tion about the message, such as the sender’ s number , the message size, and the subject.

56 Using Instant Messenger (IM) The Instant Messaging func tion allows you to send a nd receive ins tant messages using AIM, ICQ and Y ahoo communities. Y ou must first create a de fault community account before accessing it on your phone. T o access your defaul t commu nity session settings, use the following steps: Default Community Settings 1.

Section 8: Changing Your Settings 61 Keypad T one This menu allows you to sele ct the tone and volume wh en you press the keypad. 1. Use the Naviga tion keys to select from Voice, Off, DTMF , Beep, Drum, Rain Drop. 2. Use the Navigation ke ys to increase or decreas e the Volume.
62 Quiet Mode This menu item allows you to select what mode your phone will go in when you press and hold the key . Y ou can c hoose Vibration A ll or Silent All. When V ibration All is selected your phone will only vibrate. When Silent All is selected your phone will not make a sound or vibrate.

64 • Main LCD On : Settings available are: 15 se conds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes, and 10 minutes. • Main LCD Dim : Settings available are: 15 se conds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes, and Off. Dialing Display In this menu, you can select the dialing font color .

Phone Se ttings T o customize the settings of your phone use the following steps: 1. In Idle mode, press the Menu soft key to access Menu mode.
66 Extra Settings Y ou can turn the automa tic redialing or answering fea tures on or off. 1. T o turn a feature on, press the key . A check mark displays in fr ont of the option. 2. T o turn a feature off, press the ke y . The chec k mark no longer displays.

Press the Select soft key to save changes. Call Barring (SIM Dependent) The call barring network servic e allows you to restric t your calls.

70 • Default Group : you may set a default CUG wi th yo ur ser vice provider . If you have done so, you can enable the Def ault Group option on your phone. When making a call, you are give the option of using your default CUG, instead of selecti ng one from the list.

Change P assword The Change Password feature allows you to chang e your current phone password to a new one.
72 Change PIN2 The Change PIN2 feature allows you to change your current PIN2 to a new one. Y ou must enter the current PIN2 before you can specify a new one. Once you have entered a new PIN2, you are asked to confirm it by entering it again. Note: Not all SIM cards ha ve a PIN2.
