7 G et star ted First st eps to operati ng your phone SIM card information When you subscribe to a cellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card loaded with your subscripti on details, such as your PIN, and available optional services.
8 Get started Low battery indicator When the battery is low: • a warning tone sounds, • the battery low message displays, and • the empty bat tery icon blinks. If the battery lev el becomes too low , the phone automatically turns off . R e charge your battery .

23 Step outside the phone Use voice recognition Y our phone can recognise specific voice commands in order to dial a number or search for a name stored in Phonebook, access menus, or check your phone’s status. 1. In Idle mode, press [ C ]. 2. At the voice prompt, say “Call, ” or say “Call” and then a person’s name or phone number .
24 Step outside the phone Quickly launch menus by number Y ou can quickly access the text message, alarm, calendar , and conv ertor ap plications fro m the dialling screen. 1. F or an alarm or scheduled it em, enter the time you w ant as 4- digit in Idle mode.

28 Call functions Redialling recent numbers 1. In Idle mode, press [ ] to display the list of recent numbers. 2. Scroll to the number you w ant and press [ ]. Making a call from Phonebook Once you have stored a number in Phonebook, you can dial the number by selecting it from Phonebook.
Call functio ns 29 Viewing missed calls If you have missed calls, the screen displays how many calls you ha ve missed. 1. Press < View >. 2. If necessary , scr oll through the missed calls. 3. Press [ ] t o dial the number you want. Using the headset Use the headset to m ake or answer calls without holding the pho ne.
30 Call functions Answering a second call Y ou can answer an incoming call while already on the phone, if your network supports this function and you have activated the call waiting feature. p. 93 1. Press [ ] to answer the call. The first call is automatica lly put on hold.

The actual time invoiced by your service provider will vary . • Last call time : check the length of your last call. • Total sent : check the t otal length of all the calls you have dialled.
34 Menu functions Contact list (Menu 2.1) Use this menu to search for contacts in Phonebook. Finding a conta ct 1. Enter th e first few letters of the name that you want to find. 2. Select the name you w ant from the list. 3. Scroll to a number and press [ ] to dial, or press [ ] to edit contact i nformation.

The following icons indicate the kind of device: The colour of the icon indicates the st atus of the device: • Grey for un paired devices • Blue for paired devices • R ed for devices t hat are currently connected to your phone 3.

Although the SAR is determined at the highest certifi ed power level, the actual SAR level of the phone while operating can be well below the maxim um value.
101 Health and saf ety information • Extreme temperatures will affect the charging capacity of your battery: it may require cooling or warming first. • Do not leave the battery in hot or cold places because the capacity and lifetime of the battery will be reduced.
