7 G et started First steps to operate your phone SIM card information When you subscribe to a cellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card loaded with your subscripti on details, such as your PIN, and available optional services.
8 Get started Low battery indicator When the battery is low: • a warning tone sounds, • the battery low message displays, and • the empty battery icon blinks. If the battery lev el becomes too low , the phone automatically turns off . Recharge your battery .

24 Call functions Making a call from Phonebook Once you have stored a number in Phonebook, you can dial the number by selecting it from Phonebook. p. 31 Y ou can also use the speed dial feat ure to assign your most frequently called numbers to specific number keys.

Call functions 27 Muting or sending key tones Y ou can turn the key tones off or on. Press < Options > and select Mute keys or Send keys . Sending a sequence of DTMF tones Dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones are the tones used in phones for tone diall ing.

29 M enu functions All menu options listed Call records (Menu 1) Use this menu to view the calls you have dialled, received, or missed, the length of your calls, and the cost of your calls. T o access this menu, pres s < Menu > in Idle mode and select Call records .
30 Menu functions Received calls (Menu 1.4) This menu displays the most recent calls you have received. Delete all (Menu 1.5) Use this menu to delete all of the records in each call type. 1. Press [ ] to check the call type(s ) to be cleared. 2. Press < Delete >.

If you select Automatic , the phone switches the encoding type from GSM-alphabet to Uni-code if you enter a Uni-code character .
56 Menu functions Expiry date : set the le ngth of time yo ur messages are stored in the message centre. Delivery time : set a time dela y before messages are sent. Outgoing message size : sele ct a maxi mum si ze of attached items allo wed for an MMS message.
