7 G et started First st eps to operati ng your phone SIM card information When you subscribe to a cellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card loaded with your subscripti on details, such as y our PIN, and available optional services.
8 Get started Low battery indicator When the ba ttery is low: • a warning tone sounds, • the battery low message displays, and • the empty bat tery icon blinks. If the battery lev el becomes too low , the phone automatically turns off . Recharge y our battery .

24 Step outside the phone Use a memory ca rd Y ou can use a memory card to increase your phone’ s memory ca pacity . 1. With the TV s witched on, connect your phone to the TV with a TV out cable , as show n. 2. Switch the TV to External Input mode. The display switches to TV Out mode and you can view the phone’ s display on the TV screen.

26 En t e r t e x t Pinyin, Stroke, English word, ABC, Number, and Symbol modes Y ou can enter text in some features such as Messages, Phonebook, or Calendar , by using Pinyin, Stroke modes for chinese, and English word and ABC modes for English. Y ou ca n also enter numbers and symbols.
Enter text 27 Rapid character entry When yo u enter a char acter , the ph on e automaticall y displays words or phrases that are fr equently used with the entered character in the character selection field. This function al lows you to enter ph r ases or words with mi nimal key presse s.

34 Call functions Using In-call options Press < Options > to access th e following option s during a call: • Switch to headset / Switch to phone : switch the call to a Bluetooth headset or hands-free car kit or back to the phone.
35 • Transfer : transfer the currently active call to a caller on hold. The two ca llers can talk to each other , but you are disconnected from the call. • Remove : disconnect the selected partic ipant. • End h eld call : disconnect the call currently on hold.

Phonebook (Menu 2) Y ou can store phone numbers on your SIM card and in your phone’ s memory . The SIM card and phone’ s memory are physically separ ate, but they are used as a single entity called Phonebook.
Menu functions Phonebook (Menu 2) 39 FDN contacts (Menu 2.2) Use this menu to create a list of contacts to be used in FDN (Fixed Dialling Number) mode, in which the phone allows outgoing calls only to the specif ied phone numbers, if your SIM card supports this feature.
40 Menu functions • Ringtone : assign a ringtone to alert you to a call from the person. • Group : assign the number to a caller group. • Anniversary : enter the perso n’s birt hday . • Notes : add a memo about the person. 3. 90 Menu functions - ISO : change the ISO setting, which controls the sensitivity of your camera. For low light situations, select a higher ISO number . The higher the ISO number , the fast er the camera shutter functions and the more sensitive the camera is to light.
