Getting Star ted 21 Getting Started Installing the SIM Card When you subscribe to a cellular network, you are provided with a plug-in SIM card loaded with y our subscription details, such as your PIN, an y optional ser vices av ailab le and man y others.
Getting Star ted 22 4. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card sock et so that it locks the card into place . Make sure the gold contacts of the card f ace into the phone. Note: When you need to remo ve th e SIM card, slide it, as shown, and t ake it out of the soc ke t.
Getting Star ted 23 5. Place the batter y so that the tabs on the end align with the slots at the bottom of the phone. 6. Press the batter y until it clicks into place. Mak e sure that the batter y is properly installed before s witching the phone on.
Getting Star ted 24 Y ou can use the phone while the battery is charging, but this causes the phone to charge more slowly . Note: Y ou must fully charge the battery bef ore using your phone f or the first time. A discharged batt ery is fully recharged in appro ximat ely 200 minutes .

These functions are arranged in menus and sub-menus , accessed using the two soft k eys marked and . Each menu and sub-menu allo ws you to vie w and alter the settings of a particular function.

Phone Book 39 Phone Book Y ou can store p hone numbers and their corresponding names in your SIM card and phone’ s memories. They are ph ysically separate but are used as a single entity , called Phone Book.

Entering T ext 51 Entering T ext When using your phone , you often need to enter te xt, s uch as when storing a name in Phone Book, creating your personal greeting or scheduling e v ents on y our calendar . Y ou can enter alphanumeric characters by using y our phone’ s k e ypad.

Recent Calls 75 Recent Calls In this menu, you can view the: ♦ calls you missed, receiv ed or dialed. ♦ length of your calls . Character Suppor t : allows y ou to choose a character type from GSM-Alphabet , Uni-Code or A utomatic .
