Getting Started 4 Section 1: Getting Star ted This section explai ns how to start using your Samsung i225 phone by activating your service, setting u p your Vo icemail, or getting an understanding of h ow this manual is put together .
5 Installing the Ba tter y Note: Y our phone comes packaged with a partially charged rechargeable standard Li-Ion batter y and travel adapter . Important!: Y o u must fully charge the battery the first time you use your phone, otherwise you could damage the batter y .
Getting Started 6 Remo ving the Batter y 1. Push down on the battery cover (1). 2. Slide the b attery cover down. 3. Lift the batt ery cover off of the p hone (2), bott om end first. 4. Lift the battery up (1) and a way from the phone (2). Char gi ng t he Bat ter y Y our phone is powered by a rechar geable standard Li-Ion batter y .

21 Fn Key The Fn (Function) key ( ) cha nges the text in put mode to 123 mode. Ente rin g T ex t Y our phone has a QWERTY ( ) key pad to support quick and easy text i nput. Y o u can enter text as you would when using a co mputer keyboard. The keys are labeled with a lette r on the lower half and a number or symbol on the upper half.

Call Functions 28 Section 3: Call Functions This section explains how to make and answer ca lls. This section also describes the features and functionality associ ated wit h making or answering calls. T ur ning the Phone Functions On and Off When set to Off , the Wireles s Manager’ s Phone option d isables al l radio functions of your phone.

Messaging 40 Note: There is a 160-character limit for text messages. If you send a text message with more than 160 characters, the message is trunca ted after the first 160 characters and the remaining characters are then sent in consecutive messages until the entire messa ge text has been sent.

73 Camera Options The Camera Op tions le t you temporarily adj ust default camera settings to suit available lighting, the subjec t of the photo, or the purpose of the photo, for the cu rrent camera session. When you exit the camera, your Camera Op tions values revert to their default values.
