Getting Started 6 Activating Y our Phone T ur n Y our Phone On 1. Open your phone by pushing the slide up. 2. Press and hold the key . 3. The phone begins searching for a network signal. 4. Once the phone finds a signal , the time, date and day appear in the bottom of the display .

Call Functions 2 2 Making a Call — Number Entry Dialing Important!: Because of vario us transmis sion methods, n etwork parameters , and user setti ngs necessar y to complete a ca ll from your wireles s phone, a connec tion cannot al ways be guarante ed.
23 Manual Pause Calling When you call au tomated systems (l ike banking se rvices), you are often requ ired to enter a password or a ccount numb er . I nstead of manually entering the numbers each time, you ca n store the numbers in yo ur Contacts along with special characters called pau ses.
Call Functions 2 4 Making a Call — Quick Search Dialing Tw o-T ouch Dialing Memory locations 10 through 99 are spe cial T wo-T ouch dialing locations. Example: For location number 13, briefly press the key , then press and hold the key until the name and number a ppear in the displ ay and the number is d ialed.

Call Functions 2 6 Making a Call — Voice Dialing If Voice Dial is not sure which name you said, it displ ays a choice list of up to three names and prompts you with “ Did you say? ” followed by the firs t name on the list.

31 Missed Calls Y our phone retains informatio n about the last 90 misse d calls (calls tha t were never picked up) and stores them in the Missed ca l l log. Y ou ca n review the Missed call log for the time an d date of the call , as well as othe r information.

33 • Erase All — Erase all calls from your Data call log. • Data Counter — Shows the amount of data T ransmitted and Received during this call, the T otal amount of data exchanged during this call, and the total amount of data exchanged since the ph one was activated.

(See “Record a Voice Memo” on page 119 for more informa tion.) If a picture is attached before recording , the size of the voice memo is li mited to the amount of remaining memory .
