Section 1 16 Getting Star ted Command Key s MENU Displays the first page of the Main Menu of options on your phone. Press again to display further pages and options. Getting Sta rted 17 END Ends a call. Press and hold this key to turn your phone on or off. In the menu fac ility , it returns th e phone to standby mode and cancels your in put. Getting Sta rted 19 䊳 indicates your current battery charge strength . (The dis played icon indicate s a fully charged battery .) T urning Y our Phone ON and OFF T urning Y our Ph one ON Ti p : The Power Save feature helps to conserve your battery power when you are in an area where t here is no signal.
Section 1 20 Getting Star ted In power save mode, your phone searches for a signal periodically without your intervention. Y ou can also initiate a search for Servi ce by pressing any key (when your phone is turne d ON). T urning Y our Phone OFF Press for two seconds until you see “Powering off” on the display scre en.
Getting Sta rted 21 Using t he Bat tery Battery Ca pacity your phone is e quipped with a Lithium I on (Li- Ion) battery . It allows you to re charge your battery before it is fully drained.
Section 1 22 Getting Star ted Instal ling the Battery Y our phone comes with a Li-Ion battery . Follow these step s to install i t: 1. Place the battery on to the back of the phone, making sure that the three plastic tabs line up with the corresponding holes on the phone.
Getting Sta rted 23 2. Push the ba ttery releas e latch up . 3. Slide the battery away from the latch. 4. Lift the battery away from the phone. Char ging th e Bat tery Y our phone comes with a rechargeable batte ry . Y ou should charge the battery as soon as possible so you can begin using your phone.
Section 1 24 Getting Star ted T ravel Ad apter Ti p : The T ravel Adapter is not compatible with any other Samsung product. The travel adapter is used to recharge the phone using a simple plug in located at the bottom of the phone.

Roaming 27 2 Roaming In this Section 䊳 Setting Y our Phone’ s Roaming Mode oaming is the ability to make or re ceive calls when you are out of your home coverage area. Your new tri- mode phone allows you to roam on analog cellular and digital networks virtually anywhere in the U.
Section 2 28 Roaming Setting Y our Phone’ s Roaming Mode Y our phon e allows you to contro l your abili ty to roam. By using the Roaming menu option, you can determine which signals your phone accepts. Set M ode Choose from thr ee dif fere nt sett ings on y our tri- mode phone to control your roaming experience.
