10 Getting Started Installing the Batter y T o install the LiIon battery: 1. Insert the battery into the opening on the back of the phone at an angle, making sure the plastic tab on the bottom of the battery is inserted into th e matching slot in the phone.

Voice Services 27 Voice Services Voice Services Activating V oice Recognition Voice recogn ition allows you to say commands to perform common functions supported by your phone . There is no voice training required to use the v oice recognition fe ature.
28 Voice Services Using V oice Dial Voice Dial allows you to dial any valid 7, 10 or 11 digit North American phone number by speaki ng the number naturally , without pausing between the digits. Tips for using V oice Dial: • Voice Dial works bes t in quieter environments.

Using Contacts 47 Using Contacts Using Contacts Adding a New Contact Y our phone can store up to 500 entries (numbers/e-mails/URL s) in seven categories (Home, Office, Mobile, Pager , Fax, Alias, E-Mail). Phone book capacity is based by num ber of entries not by number of contacts.

56 Messaging Voice Mail Notification There are several ways your phon e alerts you of a new message: • By displaying a message on the screen. • By sounding the assigned ringer type. • By the LED blinking red. • By displaying at the top of your screen.

Do More 67 Do More Y our web connection is active (data is being transferred). Incoming voice calls go directly to voice mail; outgoing voice calls can be made, but the web connection will terminate. When your web connection is do rmant (no data is being sent or received).
