Introduction About this user’s guide This user's guide provides inform ation for your basic understanding of the machine as well as detailed steps to explain machine usage. • Read the safety informatio n before using the machine. • If you have a problem using the machine, refer to the troubleshooting chapter.

22 1. Introduction Installing the driver locally A locally connected machine is a ma chine directly attached to your computer using the cable. If your machine is attach ed to a network, skip the following steps below and go on to installing a network connected machine’s driver (see Advanced Guide).

If this happens, you can tempor arily improve print quality by redistributing the remaining toner in the cartridge.
