Assembling 10 Place the SIM or USIM card into the devic e with • the gold-coloured contacts facing down. If you do not insert a SIM or USIM card, you can • only use your device ’ s non-network services and some menus. Inser t the battery. 3 Replace the back cover .
Assembling 11 Charge with the tra vel adapter › Open the cover of the multifunction jack. 1 Plug the small end of the travel adapt er into the 2 multifunction jack. Improperly connecting the travel adapter can cause serious damage to the device. An y damage caused by misuse is not cover ed by the warranty .
Assembling 12 Charge with the PC data cable › Before charging , ensure that your PC is turned on. Open the cover of the multifunction jack. 1 Plug one end (micro-USB) of the PC data cable into the 2 multifunction jack. Plug the other end of the PC data cable into a USB port 3 on a PC.
Getting started 13 Getting star t ed T urn your devic e on and o T o turn on your device, Press and hold [ 1 ]. Enter the PIN supplied with your SIM or USIM card and 2 select enter (if necessary). If you turn on your device for the rst time , follow the 3 on-screen instructions to set up your device.

Getting started 20 Lock your de vice › Y ou can lock your device by activating the device password. In Menu mode, select 1 Settings → lock & wallpaper . Select 2 change wallpaper → an image folder → an image. Adjust the area to cr op and select 3 .
Getting started 21 Once the PIN lock is enabled, you must ent er the PIN each time you turn on the device. If you enter an incorrect PIN too many times , your • SIM or USIM card will be blocked. Y ou must enter a PIN unlock key (PUK) to unblock the SIM or USIM card.
Getting started 22 Number F unction 5 Start a new line. 6 Inser t a space. Search for inf ormation with Bing Y ou can search for inf ormation from websites and applications or les from your device b y using the Bing service. Press [ 1 ]. The Bing search screen opens .
Communication 23 C ommunication Calling Learn to use calling functions, such as making and answering calls, using options available during a call or customising and using call-related f eatures. Make and answer a call › Y ou can use the buttons or the touch screen when you make, accept, end , or reject calls.
Communication 24 T o end a call, press the headset button. • The supplied headset is designed only for y our device and may not be compatible with other devices. Entertainment 30 Entertainment Camera Learn how to capture and view phot os and videos. Y ou can capture photos at resolutions up t o 2560 x 1920 pixels (5 megapixels) and recor d videos at resolutions up to 1280 x 720 pixels. The camera interface appears only in the • landscape orientation.
