15 Assemble and prepare your device Before you can use your de vice, you must install the SIM or USIM card, install the battery, and cha rge the battery. Installing a SIM or USIM card is optional, b ut may be requi red to fully ut ilize some appl ications and store media fi les.
16 Charge battery 3 Insert the battery . 4 Replace the battery cov er . 1 Open the cover to the multifunction jack on the top of the device. 2 Plug the sma ll end of the travel adapte r into the device. 3 Plug the large end of the travel adapte r into a power outlet.
17 Insert a memory card (optional) By inserting a memory ca rd, yo u can store multimedia files and messages or back up your important information. Yo ur de vice ac cepts microSD TM or microSDH C TM ‚ memory cards up to 32 GB (depending on mem ory card manufacture r and type).

20 T urn on your device for first time 1 Press and ho ld [ ] to turn on your device. 2 Follow the on-scr een instructions. Y our device will automatically connect to the ce llular network. Activate Sleep mode You can activate S lee p mo de to save power when yo u do not use your device.
