Troubles hooting _ 69 of the fuser unit might be high and could damage your skin. When you open the front cover and work inside the machin e, it is highly recommend that you remove the pape r transfer belt first. Because the work you do could contaminate the paper transfer belt.
Troubles hooting _ 70 To avoid tearing the paper, pull the jammed paper out slowl y and gently. Follow the instructions in the following sections to clear the jam. Close the front cover and inse rt the trays back into the machine. Printi ng automatically resumes. If the front cover is not completely closed, the machine will not operate.
Troubles hooting _ 72 2. Open the inner cover using th e handle on it. Do not touch the fuser inside the inner cover. It is hot and could cause burns! The fuse r's operati ng temperature is 180 °C (356°F). Take care when removing paper from the machine.

Troubles hooting _ 80 Misformed characters • If characters are improperly formed and producing hollow images, th e paper stock may be too slick. Try differ ent paper. (See "Print media specifications" on page 92.) • If characters are improperly formed and producing a wavy effect, the scanner unit may need service.
