6 7 EXTENSION CORDS When using a power tool at a considerable distance from a power sour ce, be sure to use an extension cord that has the capacity to handle the current the tool will draw . An un- dersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage, resulting in overheating and loss of power .

10 11 ASSEMBL Y UNP ACKING This product has been shipped completely assembled. n Carefully remove the tool and any accessories fr om the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list ar e included. n Inspect the tool carefully to make sur e no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
10 11 ST ARTING/STOPPING THE HEA T GUN See Figure 2. The heat gun is started by sliding the power switch upward into either the HI, MED, or LO position. T o stop, slide the switch all the way down to the OFF ( O ) position. ADJUSTING THE TEMPERA TURE See Figure 2.
12 13 HEA T GUN NOZZLE SCRAPER NOZZLE HEA T GUN NOZZLE NOSE CONE OPERA TION INST ALLING SCRAPER NOZZLE See Figure 4. The scraper nozzle reduces the airflow from a cir cular area to a wide, narrow line. This nozzle can be used for removing paint, and for softening and forming acrylic sheets, vinyl floor tiles, linoleum, and laminate surfaces.
