4 SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES Always use proper guard with grinding wheel. A guard pr otects operator fr om broken wheel fragments. Accessories must be rated for at least the speed recommended on the tool warning label. Wheels and other accessories running over rated speed can fly apart and cause injury .

10 ASSEMBL Y UNP ACKING This product r equir es assembly . Carefully remove the tool and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. Inspect the tool carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
11 WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with tools to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict sever e injury . WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields when operating tools.
12 TURNING THE GRINDER ON/OFF See Figure 4 . T o turn the grinder ON : Push the lock-off button down and depress the paddle switch. T o turn the grinder OFF : Release the paddle switch. LOCK-ON BUTTON See Figure 4 . This grinder is equipped with a lock-on feature, which is convenient for continuous grinding for extended periods of time.
13 OPERA TING THE GRINDER See Figure 8. Always carefully select and use grinding wheels that are recommended for the material to be ground. Make sure that the minimum operating speed of any accessory wheel selected is 10,000/min or more.
14 � Loosen and remove clamp nut from spindle using the wrench provided. � Remove grinding wheel and disc flange. � Align index arrows on guard and bearing cap to remove guard. � Place the new guard on the shoulder of the bearing cap by aligning index arrows on guard and bearing cap.
