When using a power tool at a cons iderab le dis tance from the power source, use an extension cord heavy enough to carry the curr ent that the tool will draw .
8 9 GLOSSAR Y OF TERMS Pressur e Switch Automatically controls the on/off cycling of the compressor . It stops the compr ess or wh en the cut -of f pres sur e in the tank is r eached and starts the compressor when the air pr essure drops below the cut-in pr essure.

10 11 ASSEMBL Y BREAKING IN THE PUMP See Figures 4 - 5. Perform the following steps to break in the pump before using the air compressor for the first time. n Make sure the plug in the oil fill hole has been replaced with the dipstick and the oil level falls within the MIN and MAX range.

14 15 OPERA TION Fig. 10 Fig. 11 USING THE AIR COMPRESSOR See Figures 10 - 11. n Ensure power switch is in the OFF (O) position and air compressor is unplugged. n If not already installed, attach hose to compressor as previously instructed. n Attach 1/4 in.
14 15 WARNING: If air leaks after the ring has been released, or if the valve is stuck and cannot be actuated by the ring, Do not use the air compressor until the safety valve has been replaced. Use of the air compressor in this condition could r esult in serious personal injury .

Replace the oil after the first 100 hours of operation and every 300 hours following the first oil change. NOTE: Though not necessary , you may find it helpful to remove the wheel from the unit to easily access the oil drain.
