What’s on the SD Card? The OCN6 SD Car d contains ev eryth i n g you need to use the sy ste m. Th ere is no n e ed for additional downloads f rom t h e Internet, pro d uct registrati on or oth e r time co n suming an d /or infrastructure dema n ding proc e dures.
- W hen t he PDA re cogn iz e s the card, OCN f irst ask s yo u i f the se tup shou l d start or not. Ta p Yes to set u p and start usi n g OC N no w, or N o to set it up later. - The OCN environm e nt is s e t up on your PD A within a f ew seconds. - Now choose the la nguage o f the progr a m and the vo ice profil e for the navi ga tion guidance.
- Now select the voic e pro f ile for the guid e d navig a tion th e same w a y you did for the wr itten language. There m a y be sev e ral di ffe rent possibili ties in yo u r preferred la n guag e . To help you ch oo se t h e appropriat e one, whe n tapping a ny of the lines, OCN will play a few w ords with the selected pr of ile.
- W hen A ccept is selec ted the OCN main scre e n appears a utomatically. Y ou are now ready to use the pro g ram. How to start the setup manually (option al) If your PDA do e s not supp o rt the autom a tic setup, it is also easy to st art ma nually.
- Open Programs - Launc h Fil e E xplorer - Open the folder o f the mem o ry card (its n ame depen d s on your PDA, u sual names are ‘ Stora g e Card ’ , ‘ SD Card’ , etc.
- Tap on A UTO RUN - Then follow the set u p proce d ure as d e scribed in ‘ Automatic setup ’ . Ready to navigate Now that the installa tion is complete and OCN is running, you are ready to st a rt usin g it. W itho u t GPS i t can be used as a d igital ma p (e.
The first st e ps if you hav e no GPS: Tap the MA P but ton on the mai n screen t o start usi n g the program as a map, se arching for Points of Inter e st, or lookin g for addr e sses. The screen is set to g ive yo u the maximum m ap size possibl e. Yo u can move th e map i n any direction by sim ply d r a gging it.
Automatic GPS d etection The easiest way to c o nnect y ou r GPS is t o launch Detec t in t h e bottom ri g ht c o rner. The program will ch e ck each ava ilable commu nication port wit h all possible port speeds and communic a tion protocols to autom a tically det ect your GPS.
Manual GPS co n figuration If you know wher e and how t h e GPS is c o nnected , se lect Confi g. instead o f D e tect. In the next scree n you need t o set the commu nication protocol (NM EA or S IRF) , t he communication p ort (e.g. COM 1 or COM 4) and the comm u nication s p eed in Bauds (4800, 9600, 19 2 00, 38400 or 5 7600).
