Fasten the buckle by pushing the two tongues into one another (1) and inserting them into the buckle until it closes with an audible click (2).
2.3 Adjusting the harness height: Loosen the strap system. Pull on the yellow ratchet stop button and raise the headrest to the next position. Warning! Before adjusting the height of the headrest for the rst time, please rst remove the minimizer and check to see whether adjusting the height is still necessary.
2.4 Adjusting to the rest position The child seat can be placed in a rest position by turning the adjuster handle in the direction indicated by the arrow. Warning! Once the internal harness system has been removed (for use for group II and up), the rest position should no longer be used.
Although the approvals standard for child car seats permits use of the RECARO Young Sport Her ∞ with the vehicle seatbelt for children weighing over 15kg, we recommend continuing to use the integrated harness system until your child has reached a weight of 18kg.
In order to remove the shoulder p ads remove the head - rest cover and push the shoul der pads t hrough the har - ness slot. Y o u can then remove the shoulde r pads. Par tially remove the seat c over and unhook the lap b elt from the bo dy shell. Unclip the b ase plate and turn it away to the side.
3.2 S trapp ing the s eat an d child i n using t he three -p oint seatbelt: Th e rest position must n ot be used for group II o r above! All ow your child to sit in the seat and inser t the lap b elt of the three - p oint seatbel t into the front belt guides.
4. Cle aning an d maint enanc e of th e child s eat Th e buckle must alw ays lock into place w ith an audibl e click. If i t does not, t his may be caused by d irt in t he buckle. A s a counter measure, the buck le can b e removed (chapter 3. 1 ) and cleane d with warm w ater .
4.2. Replacing the ha rness Install ation is made e asier if the buck le tongues are locked in pl ace in the buck le. First unc lip the base pl ate and turn it away to the side.
Plac e the headrest in the 2nd p osition from t he bot tom and inser t the retaining belt for the shoul der pad s th - rough the slits f rom front to back. Inser t the guid e rail as shown and p ass the retaining belt over the guid e rail. Move the head rest up into the 3rd positio n and secure with the st ar shape d knob.
