7 RCU800 DVD OR CD CODE Program for SA TELLITE—Direct Entr y Method In order for the eight-component universal r emote to control your DBS system, you must program it with the code that matches your SA TELLITE receiver . T o pr ogram your remote to contr ol your DBS system, follow these steps: 1.

14 RCU800 Problem: The remot e can’t be programmed to operate your component. • Y ou may be too far away from the component or at a wrong angle. This r emote uses IR (infrared) technology to communicate with components. The remote sends the code and the component’s IR sensor reads the code.
15 RCU800 Problem: The V CR won’t record. • As a safety feature, you must pr ess the RECORD key twice to begin recording. • Make sure the tape is pr operly loaded in the VCR. • Make sure the tape is not write-pr otected. If the safety tab is removed, the tape is write-protected and you cannot recor d onto that tape.
