While reading the m anual, please refer to the di agram below for clarifi cat ion when necessary. Target Server(s) Servers to be accessed remotely via IP-Reach and its connected KVM configuration.
C HAPTER 2: I NSTALLATION 5 Chapter 2: Installation Configuring Target Servers Before installing IP-Reach, first configure any target se rvers that y ou wish to a ccess via IP-Reach, in order to ensure optimum performance, as outlined below.

C HAPTER 3: R ARITAN R EMOTE C LIENT (RRC) 25 Remote KVM Console Control After using the RRC Navigator to establish a connection with an IP-Reach unit (see the previous section: Establishing a Connection ), the Navigator entry corresponding t o the IP-Reach unit will expand to s how all ports on the IP-Reach enabled for rem ote access.
26 IP-R EACH U SER M ANUAL Single Mouse Mode / Dual Mouse Mode When remotely viewing a Target Server that uses a po inting device, by default you will see two mouse pointers within the Remote Desktop area of the Rarita n Remote Client window.

The [ Enter OSU I ] and [ Exit OSUI ] buttons on the RRC to olbar have been provided to simplify the use of IP-Reach in conjunction with KVM Switches.
28 IP-R EACH U SER M ANUAL Keyboard Macros RRC allows users to create custom keyboard macros in order to send given key sequences to the remote server or KVM switch connected t o IP-Reach. This feat ure allows customers to send keystrokes to remote servers that may be otherwise unintentionally interpreted by the computer on which RRC is running.

34 IP-R EACH U SER M ANUAL Color Calibration Automatic Color Calibration adjusts the color settings on IP-Reach to reduce excess color noise and data during digitization of video images. This data stream lining will increase the opera tional performance of IP- Reach, particular color accura cy.

36 IP-R EACH U SER M ANUAL Changing Serial Settings You may change the serial terminal sett ings such as ba ud rate, parity , and stop bits use d by IP-Reach to communicate with your serial device, by right-clicking on the serial port entry in the RRC Navigator, a nd selecting Serial Parameters in the menu.
