2 • W e do not recommend tha t the door is opened during operation. How ever , the dishwasher door is fitt ed with a safety device that stops the dish washer if the door is opened during operation. As hot water ma y escape the dishwasher , DO NOT open the door fully until the spray arms have st opped rotating .

5 Salt The hardness of wa ter varies from place to place . I f hard wat er is used in the dishwasher , deposits will form on the dishes and utensils. The dishwasher is equipped with a special softener that uses a salt specically designed to eliminate lime and miner als from the water .
6 Lo w rinse aid indicator Rinse Aid This product makes dishes sparkle and helps them to dr y without spotting. The dispenser is locat ed on the inside panel of the door . When the low rinse aid indicator on the con trol panel (Fig .2-6) and the indicator on the dispenser (Fig .
7 Detergen t Detergent specically intended f or use with dishwashers must be used. The dispenser must be r elled before the start of each wash cycle following the instructions provided in the ‘Pr ogram overview ’ . The det ergent dispenser is located on the inside panel of the door .
8 Damage to Glassware and Other Dishes P ossible Causes • T ype of glass or manufacturing process. • Chemical composition of detergent . • W ater temperature and dur ation of dishwasher program. Suggested Remedy • Use glassware or por celain dishes that have been marked ‘ dishw asher-proof ’ by the manufacturer .
9 Using the Upper Bask et The upper basket (F ig.2-14) is designed to hold more delicate and lighter dish ware, such as glasses , cups and saucers, plat es, small bowls and shallow pans (as long as they are not too dirty). Position the dishes and c ook ware so that the spr ay of water does not move them.

12 Swit ching the Dishwasher OFF Several minutes after the prog ram has ended: 1. Open the door . 2. Set the ON-OFF button to OFF . 3. Remove dishes, et c. when they have cooled do wn. Note: F or the best dr ying per formance , we recommend that you do not remo ve the contents f or at least 30 minutes.
13 Using 3-in-1 Det ergent T ablets General A dvice 1. Before using these pr oduc ts you should rst check that the water har dness in your supply is compatible with their use, as per the deter gent manufac turers instructions (on the product pack aging).
14 Upper Basket W ash This function allows the dishwasher t o wash dishes using only the upper basket. This will allow you t o save on water and energy consumption if there ar e not enough dishes for a full load. T o selec t upper basket w ash: 1. Open the door .

T roubleshooting Resolving Minor Problems Y ourself Experience has shown that you can r esolve most problems that occur during normal daily usage yourself , without having to call out a service engineer . Not only does this save c osts but it also means that the dishwasher is a vailable to use.
18 If, after these checks the dish washer still does not function or has any other error displa yed, then press the ON-OFF button to OFF . W ait a few minutes then turn the dish washer back on and try again. When the progr am display displays ‘ FE ’, ‘ F6 ’, ‘ F7 ’, ‘ F8 ’ or ‘ F9 ’ contact the nearest authorized service centre.
