7 PREPARATION IN STALL ING BAT TERI ES You n eed four AAA batt eries (n ot sup - plied) t o protect the org anizer’s mem ory during a power fai lure. For the lo ngest operatio n and best perform ance, we recomm end you use RadioS hack alka - line batteries .
8 Caution: You mus t use a Cl ass 2 power source that s upplies 9 volts DC an d deliver s at least 500 mA. Its cente r tip mu st be set to positiv e and i ts pl ug must f it the organiz er's 9V DC jack . The supp lied adapter m eets t hese spe cification s.
9 BASIC OPERATION USING THE CURSOR/ ARROW KEYS The flash ing _ on the s creen is ca lled a cur sor. The cu rsor sh ows where the next cha racter typ ed will a ppear. Press , , , or to move the c ur- sor . Hold down an arro w key to rap idly move the cursor.
10 Or , to quickly se lect a city you want, press the first letter of the c ity then repeated ly press SEARCH or SEARCH (if ne cessary) u ntil your c ity’s name appea rs. 4. P ress ENTER . The curren tly set month f lashes. 5. Repeate dly press SEARCH or SEARCH until t he curr ent mo nth appears , then pr ess ENTER .
11 V IEWING A WORLD TIME Once yo u set yo ur home tim e, you can sele ct a world c ity and v iew the time in that city. Follow the se steps to select a wor ld city and view the time in tha t city and o ther world cities. 1. Press . T he date and ti me in the curr ently sele cted world city ap - pears.
12 4. Repeat Step 3 to ente r the minute and sec onds yo u want the time r to count down . Note: If you mak e a mista ke while entering hours , minutes , or s ec- onds, repe atedly pr ess or to move the cursor to the ti me you want to c hange, t hen en ter the cor- rect tim e.
13 Caller I D is a se rvice provide d by you r telephone company . Wh en you s ub- scrib e to this servic e, the telephone compa ny sends the caller’s telephone number (a nd name, if availa ble) and the call’s date and time between the first and sec ond ri ngs.
14 Your or ganizer s aves u p to 32 0 call record s, then (for subsequ ent cal ls) it re- places the oldes t call recor d with eac h new one . Each ca ll record includes the time an d date of the call , the call num ber (order in whic h the call is re ceived), the calle r’s telephone numbe r, and th e caller’s name (if availab le).
15 DELETING CALL RECORDS Follow these s teps to de lete cal l reco rds. 1. Recall a c all rec ord you want to delete. 2. Pre ss DELETE . DELETE?(A/Y/N) appears . 3. T o d elete the se lected cal l record, press Y . Or , to d elete all call re cord s, press A then Y .
16 PHONE DIRECTORY Your or ganizer ha s two ph one dir ecto- ries. You can store a contac t’s name, three tel ephone nu mbers, an email ad- dress, and a note into each ph one direc- tory re cord. The record can b e up to 11 6 charac ters an d number s, incl uding spaces .
17 RECALLING A PHONE DIRECTOR Y RECORD The organ izer store s phone dir ectory record s in alphab etical or der by co ntact name. To recal l a phone direct ory rec ord, r epeat edly press to selec t the dire ctory you w ant, the n repeat edly press SEARCH or SEARCH to view the recor ds alpha betically by con - tact name.
18 AUTO DIALING If you have touch tone service and you have co nnecte d the or ganizer to you r phone lin e, t he o rganiz er ca n also d ial a phone number you ente red in a phone direc tory reco rd.
19 DAILY ALAR M You can s et an ala rm to sound at a s et time of da y. When the daily al arm is on, a tone sounds for 30 seconds at the set time. To silenc e the al arm, pre ss any key. The alarm sounds again the next day at the set time, unless you turn it o ff.
20 SCHEDULE ALARMS Schedul e alar ms help you stay in con trol of your busy s chedule by remind ing you of meetings and other im portant events. For ea ch schedul e alarm , you can e nter an alarm message of up to 97 ch arac- ters. At the set alarm tim e, the alarm so unds for 30 second s and y our stored m es- sage appea rs.

Notes: • If the r esult of a c alculation has more than 1 2 digits, or if you try to divide b y 0, E (error) appears .
