To select 1. 0W transmit power, m ake sure that the r adio is no t on cha nnels 8–14 and t hen pre ss MENU until Lo ap pears.
17 Direct Ca ll Operati on U SING A H EADSET You can make or an swer ca lls with handsfr ee convenien ce using an optional hea dset with a 3 / 32 -inch plug (not s uppl ied, a vaila ble at your lo cal Radi oShac k store) . To connec t a headset , insert th e heads et’s plug into the EAR/MIC jack on the b ottom of the radio.

I f the Caller ID num ber mat ches its Home ID (Receive r ID number) or eq uivalent Group C all, then it recog nizes that the call is ad dre ssed to this r adio.

Care 22 U SING AN O PTIONAL W RIST S TRAP You can attach an o ptional wrist st rap (not supplie d) to the radio. Slide the wrist st rap’s sma ll loop u nder th e bar on the bottom o f the radio. You migh t need to use a small screw driver or stra ight ened pap er clip t o do this .
