4 BEFORE YOU BEGIN Thank you for selecting the revolutionary PROFORM ® 20.0 CROSSTRAINER elliptical exerciser . The 20.0 CROSSTRAINER elliptical exerciser provides a wide array of features designed to make your workouts at home more effective and enjoyable.
5 ASSEMBL Y T o hire an authorized service technician to assemble the elliptical exerciser , call 1-800-445-2480. Assembly requires two persons. Place all parts of the elliptical exerciser in a cleared area and remove the packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed.
6 1. Orient the the Front Stabilizer (35) as shown. Attach the two Wheels (25) to the Front Stabilizer with two M10 x 62mm Patch Bolts (89) and two M10 Nylon Locknuts (97). Attach two Leveling Feet (26) to the underside of the Front Stabilizer (35). 2.
7 5. Have a second person hold the Upright (6) near the Frame (2) as shown. Pull the Wire Harness (48) out of the Frame (2) and insert it upward through the Upright (6). Do not let the Wire Harness or the Controller Wires (1 10, 95) fall into the Upright; use a piece of tape or an elastic band to hold the wires in place until step 15.
8 7 11 71 8 96 7. Identify the Left Handlebar (8), which is marked with a “Left” sticker . Insert the Left Handlebar into one of the Handlebar Legs (1 1) as shown. Attach the Left Handlebar (8) with two M8 x 42mm Bolts (71) and two M8 Nylon Locknuts (96).
9 8. Position an Inner Handlebar Cover (18) and an Outer Handlebar Cover (19) around the Left Handlebar (8) as shown. Then, pull the Left Handlebar Wire (108) out of the Left Handlebar and insert it through the Inner Handlebar Cover .
10 1 1. Identify the Left Pedal (13) and the Left Pedal Leg (14), which are marked with “Left” stickers, and orient them as shown. Attach the Left Pedal (13) to the Left Pedal Leg (14) with four M6 x 35mm Phillips Screws (87) and four M6 Split W ashers (88).
11 14. Have a second person hold the Console (5) near the Upright (6) as shown. Connect the console wire harness to the Wire Harness (48). Connect the right wire, which has a tag attached, to the Right Controller Wire (95), which has a tag attached. Then, connect the left wire to the Left Controller Wire (1 10).
12 HOW T O USE THE ELLIPTICAL EXERCISER HOW TO MOVE THE ELLIPTICAL EXERCISER Due to the size and weight of the elliptical exercis- er , moving it requires two persons. Stand in front of the elliptical exerciser , hold the upright, and place one foot against one of the front wheels.
13 FEA TURES OF THE CONSOLE The revolutionary console offers an array of features designed to make your workouts more effective and enjoyable. When you use the manual mode of the console, you can change the resistance of the pedals with the touch of a button.
14 HOW TO USE THE MANUAL MODE Note: If there is a sheet of clear plastic on the face of the console, remove the plastic. 1. Begin pedaling or press any button on the console to turn on the console. A moment after you begin pedaling or press a but- ton, the display will light.
15 5. Measure your heart rate if desired. If there are sheets of clear plastic on the metal con- tacts on the hand- grip pulse sensor , remove the plas- tic. T o measure your heart rate, hold the handgrip pulse sensor with your palms resting against the metal contacts.
16 As you exercise, you will be prompt- ed to keep your pedaling pace near the target rpm set- ting for the current segment. When an upward arrow appears in the display , increase your pace. When a downward arrow appears in the display , decrease your pace.
17 HOW TO USE A SMART PROGRAM 1. Begin pedaling or press any button on the con- sole to turn on the console. A moment after you begin pedaling or press a but- ton, the display will light.
18 HOW TO USE A HEART RA TE PROGRAM 1. Begin pedaling to turn on the console. A moment after you turn on the console, the dis- play will light. 2. Select a heart rate program. T o select one of the two heart rate program, press the Certified Personal T rainer Programs button repeatedly until Heart Rate 1 or 2 appears in the display .
19 HOW TO PLA Y THE F A T BLOCKER GAME The Fat Blocker game requires quick thinking and fast reflexes. In addition to the console buttons, you will use the four-button game controllers on the handlebar to play the game. Follow the steps below to play the Fat Blocker game.
20 HOW TO PLA Y THE CALORIE DESTROYER GAME The Calorie Destroyer game is a fast-paced game that pits you against a squadron of laser-firing drones. In addition to the console buttons, you will use the four- button game controllers on the handlebar to play the game.
21 Inspect and tighten all parts of the elliptical exerciser regularly . Replace any worn parts immediately . T o clean the elliptical exerciser , use a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap. Make sure to regularly clean the rollers and the track on which the rollers ride.
