Chapter 2 -- Operation 11 Grating Assembl y Interchange The LS-785 g rating assembly is initially alig ned at the fac tory and kinem atically m ounted in the instrum ent to enable easy interc hange without requiring realig nment.

P lace the prev iously rem oved grating assem bly in the storage container and secur e it using the knurled screw. Tighten the two capt ive screws to secure the gra ting assembly in the s torage con tainer and then replace the lid.
Chapter 2 -- Operation 13 Shutter Re pla cement The following instructions apply if the LS - 785 was shipped from the factory w ith an installed external shutter. Be cause a shutter has a finite lifetim e, i t may become necessary to replace a shutter.
