7-ENG DESCRIPTION OF OPERA TION Compressor Pump (A) Fig. 1: To compress air , the piston moves up and down in the cylinder . On the downstroke, air is drawn in thr ough the intake valves. The exhaust valves remain closed. On the upstr oke of the piston, air is compressed.

9-ENG GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS The air compressor is equipped with a cord having a gr ounded wire with an appropriate gr ounding plug. The plug must be used with an outlet that has been installed and grounded in accor dance with all local codes and ordinances.
