7 1. Us ing M ED IAG ATE T 1 as a Mu lt ime di a Pla ye r 1.1 Connect to External A V Device 1.1.1 Connect Video Cable MEDIAGATE T1 supports 3 typ es of video output; “Composite, S-vid eo, and Component”. Use th e video connection that your TV supports.
8 1.1.2 Connect Audio Cable MEDIAGATE T1 supp orts 3 types of a udio output; S tereo, Coaxial, a nd Optical. Us e the audio connection t hat your TV or Audio set s upports. Normally, your TV will support a st ereo audio co nnection. This package contains a stereo audio cable.
9 1.2 Basic Setup 1.2.1 Video Setup IMPORTAN T! The MEDIAG ATE T1 video ou tput mode and T V set input mode must be on the same setting. ü If you cannot see a n ormal screen after connecting the vide o cable, please check the following: 1.

11 1.2.2 A u dio Setup This is a guide for setting the audio output of your MEDIAGA TE T1. 12 1.2.3 Network Setup MEDIAGATE T1 can connect t o a network . It is possible to obtain the IP address automatically from your DHCP Server or Router, o r manua lly set a specific IP add ress. Check your netwo rk environments. ü DHCP On: You can use this option to o btain the IP address auto matically from a DHCP Server or Router.
13 <DHCP Off S etup Proc edure> 1. Press [SETUP] in the Mode Sele ction screen. 2. Select the ‘Network’ icon and press [ENTER]. Setup box will be displayed un der the icon menu. 3. Select ‘DHCP : Off and p ress [ENTER]. 4. Select 'IP A ddr' an d press [ENTE R] The IP address I nput box will be displayed.
14 1.2.4 Screen Setup This is a guide for setti ng the TV Type. Yo u can use 4:3 Letter Box, 4:3 Pan Scan, and 16:9. The default settin g is 4:3 Letter Bo x. <Setup Proce dure> 1.2.5 Preview Setup It is possi ble to enab le or disable “Preview the photo file as a thumbn ail image” before playing.
15 1.2.6 LED Setup You may switch the backlight LED arrow buttons on the front of the MED IAGATE T1 o n or off. <Setup Proce dure> 1.2.7 Time Setup You may enter your Stand ard Time Zone a nd enab le or disable Daylight Savings Time. <Setup Proce dure> 1.
16 1.3 Basic Screen Menu 1.3.1 Mod e Selection, M edia Type Selection After turning on MEDI AGATE T1, you will see the Mo de Selection screen. I n this screen, you can s elect the internal HDD or Networked Co mputers. Press [ENTER] after moving to the selected icon with the arrow keys.
17 2) Use Networking Computer 1. Select the 'PC-Network' ico n in the Mode Selection screen and press [ENTER] to access networking comp uters’ files.
18 1.3.2 File Selection After selecting a Media type, the ‘Fil e Selection’ scr een will be dis played. Move t o a file th at you want t o play and p ress [ENTER] o r [PLAY/PAU SE]. 1. [ENTER ] button Play one file that you select. After playback is finished, the ‘file selection screen’ will appear.
19 1.4 Play Video Fil es MEDIAGAT E T1 can p lay AVI, MPG, MP EG2 (TiVo ®), MPEG4, DAT , M2V, an d VOB vide o files. Select the ‘Movie’ icon in the Media Type Selection sc reen. The Video file lis t will be displayed. Select a file a nd press [ENTER] o r [PLAY/PAU SE].
20 Subtitle Sync. It is possible to set the subtitle sy nc. with (one second) (60 second) when mo tion and subtitle sync is not matched. 4, 5, 6 Number B utton Subtitle Color Change Subtitle color is changed when p ressing numbers 4 or 6. In order to retu rn default color (wh ite), press number 5 .
21 NEXT I Playback Next File Play file after a current playback fi le. If you used [E NTER] for playback, you cannot use this function. 22 1.5 Play DVD Fi les DVD mana ger function supports DVD backup files and will play the same as the original DVD . Make a folder and then save all back up files into t he folder. After co nnecting TV (or Monitor), select VIDEO_TS.IFO fi le at the folder.

24 1.6 Play Music Files It is possible to play MP3, O GG, WAV, an d WMA m usic files. Select the Music ic on in the Media Type Select ion screen. The Music file list will be displayed.

28 1.8 Make a Play-List User can register all media types of files lik e video, music, and photo to a play-li st. The registered medi a files play-lis t will be played without discriminating media type. ü It is not possible to play each registered fi le independe ntly.

30 1.10 Others 1.10.1 Music Slide Show Make a 'music' folder (in low er case letters) at the root directory of the MEDIAGATE T1 HDD. Save MP3 files i n the folder. If the HDD is divided into two or more partitions, make a 'music' folder at the first partition.
31 2. Pl ay ing y our TiVo ® fi le s 2.1 Connect to External A V Device 2.1.1 Connect Video Cable You must connect MEDIAGATE T1 to an AV device (such as a TV set) in order to transfer your TiVo® files. MEDIAGATE T1 supports Composite, S -video, and Compone nt video connections.
32 2.1.2 Connect Audio Cable You’ll need to co nnect the audi o cable in order to hear the audio c oming from the MEDIAGATE T1. MEDIAGATE T1 supports 3 typ es of audio o utput; Stereo , Coaxial, and O ptical. Use the audio connection t hat your TV or Audio set supports.
33 2.2 Connecting to your T iVo® 2.2.1 Setting up th e Netwo rk Connection MEDIAGATE T1 communic ates with your TiVo® v ia a Local Area Network (LAN ).
34 2.2.2 Connection v ia DHCP Server or Rout er In this section, your TiVo® box and MEDIAGATE T1 will be conn ected to a DHCP Server or router. It is possible to obtain the IP addre ss automatically if you are using a DH CP Server or Router. ü DHCP On: You can use this option to o btain the IP address auto matically from a DHCP Server or Router.
35 2.2.3 Direct connection v ia Cross-Over MEDIAGAT E T1 can connect directly to your TiVo® box via a cr oss-over LAN cable. ü A cross-over Ethernet LAN cable (sold separately) will be required for this setup. ü Please refer to your TiV o® owners manual o n how to manually specify an IP A ddress and Subnet M ask on your TiVo® box .
36 ü The IP Address o f the MEDIAGATE T1 MUS T be within t he same range as yo ur TiVo® box. For example, if MEDIAGATE T 1 is at 192.168 .0. 2 and the TiVo® is on 192.168 .1. 3, then they wil l not be able to communicate. The first three sets of num bers must match, while the fourth set of n umber(s) must be unique.
37 2.2.4 TiVo® file selection This section will explain how to transfer your TiVo® files into the MEDIAGATE T1. <Setup Proce dure> 1. In the Mo de Selection scre en, select the Ti Vo® icon and press [ENTER]. 2. Select your TiVo® account a nd press [ENTER].
38 2.2.5 Playing your TiVo® files You can watch your TiVo® recordings that are no w stored on your MEDIAGAT E T1. <Setup Proce dure> 1. Select the 'MediaGate ' icon in the Mode Selection screen and press [ENTER] to access the HDD files.
39 3. Use as External USB HDD 3.1 Insert Hard Disk (for dri ve-less MEDIA GAT E T1 version) ü Use 3.5” I DE Hard Disk for data storage. Section 1 .1 is for drive-less MEDIAGATE T1 m odels. Please s kip to 3.2 if you have the MEDIAGA TE T1 with built-in drive.
40 1) After installing the driver, connect MEDIAGATE T1 and plug in power cabl e. Next, check to see if the driver is inst alled correctly by going to [Start menu, Settings, Control Panel, Syst em, Device Manager, Hard disk controllers] You should see Hi-Speed USB- IDE Bridge Con troller.
41 1) After connecting MEDIAGATE T1 to your computer and plugging in power cable, Windows will install the driver automatically. Check t he d river in stallation by going to [Start menu, Settings, Control Panel, (view all Control Panel options), System, Device Manager, Universal Serial B us controllers] You s hould see a USB Ma ss Storage D evice.
42 1) After connecting MEDIAGATE T 1 and plugging in AC power cable, Windows will install the driver automatically. Che ck the driver installation by going to [Start menu, Settings, Control Panel, (switch to Classic View on Windows XP), S ystem, Hardware, Device manager, Universal Serial Bus controllers] You should see a USB Mass Storage D evice.
43 3.2.4 Mac ü MEDIAGATE T1 wil l only work with Mac 10.0 or higher. You will not need to install the installation driv er for Mac OS 10.x vers ion or high er, as the ME DIAGATE T1 will b e detected automatic ally. If the M EDIAGATE T 1 is detected c orrectly, a driv e icon will a ppear on y our monitor.
44 4. A ccessing PC via Network 4.1 Connect LA N Cable 4.2 Setting Netw ork Configurations After connecting LAN cable, you must set the network configurations of the Comp uter and MED IAGATE T1 .
45 1) Select a folder that you’ll want to share. Right-click the folder and click ‘Sharing’ in pop-up men u. 2) Check ‘Shared As’ and write your file designatio n in ‘Share Name ’.
46 6) Set the n etwork configuration s of MEDIAG ATE T 1. Press [SETUP] on MEDIAGATE T 1 remote control to display the Setup screen. Select ‘ DHCP: Off’ and enter the IP address & Subn et mask. For examp le, you may e nter: IP Address : 192.168.
47 1) Select a folder that you’ll want to share. Right-click the folder and click ‘Sharing’ in pop-up men u. 2) Check ‘Share t his folder’ and wri te your file designation in ‘Sha re Name’. 3) Click ‘Permissions’ and check whether the “Everyone” account is visible.
48 9) Check ‘Use the followin g IP address’, and e nter the ‘IP address’ & ‘Su bnet mask’ that you wa nt to use. For examp le, you may e nter: IP address : 192.168.1.3 Subnet mask: 255. 255.255.0 6) Check ‘User cannot change pass word’ and ‘Password never e xpires’.
49 10) Set the network configuration s of MEDIAGATE T1. Press [SETUP] on MEDIAGATE T 1 remote control to display the Setup scree n. Select DHCP: Off and enter the IP address & Subn et mask. For examp le, you may e nter: IP Address : 192.168.001.002 Subnet mask: 255.
50 1) Select a folder that you’ll want to share. Right-click the folder and click ‘Sharing and Security’ in pop-up menu. 2) Check ‘Share this folder on the networ k’ and write your file designation in ‘Share na me’. For examp le, “My Movie” 3) After that, the shared folder will be displayed as the following picture.
51 . 6) Go to [Control Panel, Network Connections] and select ‘Local area connections’ properties by right clicking with your mouse. 7) Double click on ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)’ 8) Check ‘Use the followin g IP address’, and e nter the ‘IP address’ & ‘Su bnet mask’ that you wa nt to use.
52 9) Referring back to t he Step 7) figu re, click the ‘Advanced’ Tab. Disable ‘Internet Connecti on Fire wall’ by un-checking the box. 10) Set the network configuration s of MEDIAGATE T1. Press [SETUP] on MEDIAGATE T 1 remote control to display the Setup scree n.
53 <MEDIAGAT E T1’s IP Address> ü If you are conn ected to a DHCP S erver or Router, select ‘DHCP: ON’. You will be given an automatic IP Address and Subnet Mask from t he DHCP Server or Router. You can then see the IP Ad dress/Sub net Mask that was issued.
54 4.2.4 Firmware Upgrade Download upgrade file f rom www.pogoproducts.com when avail able. After connecting MEDIAGATE T1 to T V set, move to the upgrade file an d press [ENTER]. Upgrad e is progressed automatically. After finishing upgrade, you can check firmware version on Setup screen.

Esplorando le pagine segenti del manuali d’uso Pogo T1 imparerai tutte le caratteristiche del prodotto e le informazioni sul suo funzionamento. Le informazioni sul Pogo T1 ti aiuteranno sicuramente a prendere una decisione relativa all’acquisto.
In una situazione in cui hai già il Pogo T1, ma non hai ancora letto il manuale d’uso, dovresti farlo per le ragioni sopra descritte. Saprai quindi se hai correttamente usato le funzioni disponibili, e se hai commesso errori che possono ridurre la durata di vita del Pogo T1.
