3 Chapte r 2 H a rdwa r e Installation Please re f er to the steps belo w to ins t all your HDD into NA S - 1 100: 1. Loosing the t w o scre w s on t he rear p anel by scre w driver or hands. 2. Grabbing the fron t panel and separa t e the HD holder f r om case.
4 5. Push the po w er connec t or into the po w er socke t o f HD as sho w n. The po w er cable is designed to go in one w ay, so you shouldn't have any problems. 6. Secure the H ard Disk w ith t he scre w s w e provided. 7. Push t he Ha r d disk and HD holder back into the bo x and secure it w ith t he t w o scre w s.

11 Chapte r 4 Configura t ion The NAS- 1 100 provides a w eb-based configuration in t erface and you can simply access it by double click on the “ Setup M y Ne t w o r k HD – NAS- 1 100 ” icon on desktop. A dialog bo x w ill pop up and ask f o r username/pass w ord.

15 4.2. 2 IP Ad d r e ss Setting Parameters Description I P Add r ess Designate the NAS- 1 100 ’ s IP Address . This I P Add r ess should be unique in your net w ork. The default I P Add r ess is 192.168.1.1 . Subnet M ask S pecify a Subnet M ask for your LAN segment.
