Page 1 Introduction The Ther moCheck i s a porta ble, han dhel d temper atur e met er and t emperat ure measure men t storage de vice that facilitates the validation of qua lity control spec ifications for temperat ures of products at v arious st ag es of productio n and storage.

Page 3 Getting S t arted To use the ThermoCh eck to record t empera tur e reading s, the unit will need a datab ase con figured , linking products, proc ess/locati on and pr oduct speci ficatio ns. You can config ure a data base in the unit with the user s oftware.

The de fault is the first serial co mmunications por t, COM1.

Page 10 Setting Up a Dat abase In order to use th e ThermoCh eck, y ou need to create a pr oduct dat abase. D atabases l ink indiv idual products w ith the pr ocesses/locatio ns of thei r produc tion at w hich y ou may want to mo nitor temperat ure.

Page 12 All product n ames must star t wi th a capital letter and the so ftware w ill ensure that e ach product d oes start w ith a capital letter . Product names ca n not be bla nk (empty ) and there fore the softw are w ill ensure tha t no pro ducts ar e created w ithout a v alid nam e.

Page 27 User Options W hen a user is selected, their password and PIN code are show n in the panel next to the user list . For security and pr ivacy r easons, PIN codes and passwor ds are display ed as a seri es o f asterisks. The PIN code identi fies th e user c urr ently o perating the ThermoC heck.

Page 29 Customising the ThermoCheck Customising With the So ftw are If you click the Settings button in the dat abase w indow , the configuration setti ngs panel will become visi ble. Any changes y ou make to these sett ings will not take effect until the dat abase i s uploaded t o the ThermoCheck.

If you cl ick Match computer date and time , the unit’s time clock will be set to match y our PC’s interna l clock. Not e that this w ill only occur if the settings are up loaded to t he unit (with the Set Data base command).

Page 33 Using the ThermoCheck Using the Th ermoCheck for the First Time If your Th ermoCheck is turned off, y ou can tur n it on by pressi ng any key on the keypad, or by attaching exter nal power, or by connecti ng a comp uter. When a Therm oCheck is pow ered up , the battery voltage, along with the firmware versi on, will be shown on the display.
