Note: In this User Manual, “pr ess a key” means to press the key and release it, while “hold a key” means to press the key f or at least two seconds and then release it.
Removing the SIM Card Hold the Power Ke y to power off the phone. Remove the back co ver and battery . Gently remo ve the SIM card from the car d slot. Inserting the microSD™ Card Note: This phone can support a memory card with a capacity of up to 32 GB.

12 Getting Started How to Make Calls F rom home screen, ent er a phone number . Press the Send K ey to place the call. Using the Address Book F rom the home screen, select Main Menu Address Book . Highlight a cont act and press the Send Ke y to call the contact.
D TMF off: Enable or disable DTMF t ones (touch-tone sounds). End Call: Disconnect the current call. Adjusting the V olume During a call, press the V olume Up/Down K eys to adjust the earpiece or speaker volume. Recent Calls With this f eature, y ou can check the call log and call duration.
Performing a Speed Dial Note: The 1 Key is reserved f or the V oicemail number . F rom the home scr een, hold the corresponding Number Ke y ( 2 to 9 ) in the speed dial list to make the call. Press the End Key t o end the call. Using Address Book Entry Options F rom the home screen, select Main Menu Address Book .
Multi-Select: Apply an action to all of the con tacts you select. Y ou have three options: Send Message: Send an SMS or MMS message to all of the selected contacts. Send Email: Send an email to all of the selected cont acts. Delete: Delet e all of the selected contacts.
Press ( Shift K ey ) to switch the uppercase and lowercase lett ers. Press the Shift Ke y twice to change to all caps. Press ( Alt K ey ) to ent er a number or alternate charact er shown on a key . Press the Alt K ey twice to change to numeric mode. T o enter symbols, press ( Symbols Ke y ), then use the 4-W ay Navigation K ey to loca te a symbol.
Viewing a Message The envelope icon ( ) will appear at the top of the scr een to notify you that you ha ve received a new message, and a message alert will pop up. Press the OK K ey to view the message, or , from the home screen, select Main Menu Messaging C onv ersations to check your messages.
V oicemail V oicemail Settings F rom the home screen, select Main Menu Messaging Settings V oicemail to determine the number to dial to retrie ve your voice messages. Y our voicemail phone number is preset by your service provider . Y ou do not need to set it manually .
Scroll down and press the OK K ey to sign in. Browsing the In ternet Browse the web directly f rom your mobile phone. Check the weather , visit your f avorite websit es, and enjoy access to the Internet on the go . Using Mobile W eb Fr om the home screen, select Main Menu Browser .
Y our phone includes suppor t for Bluet ooth , which can be used to connect your phone to a wir eless headset . Y ou can also use it to transf er files between your phone and other Bluetooth de vices, such as another phone or a laptop . Note: Not all applications and de vices suppor t Bluetooth .
Receiving Data Enable Bluetooth function and pair the phone with the device f rom which you wish to r eceive the file. When the paired de vice tries to send a file to your phone, a popup dialogue will appear in your screen. Press the L eft Soft Ke y for Ye s to authorize the connection.
Capturing and Viewing Video Y our phone allows you to recor d, store, and play back video files. Recording a Video F rom the home screen, hold the Camera K ey . Press right on the 4- W ay Navigation K ey to swit ch to video camera mode. Press the OK Key t o star t recording.
Music Player The Music Player allows y ou to listen to the songs you hav e stored on your phone. There are six menus in the Music Play er . All Music: Displays a complete list of all songs curren tly on your phone. Playlists: Displays any playlists tha t you have crea ted, and allows you to creat e new ones.
Calendar With the Calendar f eature you can set appoin tments and view even ts. F rom the home screen, select Main Menu Calendar . Press the Left Soft Key f or Options to access the following menu: New: Creat e a new appointment or task reminder . Appointment: A dd an appointment.
T ools Alarm This fea ture allows you to set an alarm to ring a t a specific time. F rom the home screen, select Main Menu My Stuff T ools Alarm . Press the OK K ey to edit and configure the alarm as needed. Alarm Switch: T urns the alarm clock on or off .
Tip Calculator The Tip Calculator will automa tically calculate the tip at a r estaurant, and it can also divide the bill according to the number of people in the party . F rom the home screen, select Main Menu My Stuff T ools Tip Calculator . Enter the t otal bill by using the Number Ke ys .
All Other Conversions Enter a number into one of the two fields, using the 4- W ay Navigation Key to mo ve between the fields. T o change the unit of measurement, select the field whose unit you would like to change and pr ess the OK Key . Highlight a unit of measuremen t and press the OK Ke y .
45 Settings home screen only . F or example, you could assign right on the 4- W ay Navigation K ey to start the Calculator . • Auto Keypad L ock: Configure your phone to lock the k eypad when it is not in use. Y ou can select the time delay from the available choices.
Set by Network: The network chooses whether t o show/hide your phone number . On: The call recipient will see your phone number . Off: The call recipient will not see your phone number . Auto Redial: Sets the phone to repea tedly redial, in the ev ent of a busy signal, until it successfully makes a connection.
PIN Code A PIN is attached t o a SIM card. If the SIM card is moved t o another phone, the same PIN will still be required in order t o make calls. When you assign a PIN to your SIM car d, you will need to enter the PIN code when the phone is powered on.
My Menu allows you t o customize shortcuts to fr equently used functions on your phone. F rom the home screen, press the Le ft Soft Key f or Go T o . My Menu displays the list of menu shortcuts. Using the keypad, pr ess the number of the shor tcut to access it immediately .
General Care Y our handset contains delicate electr onic circuitry , magnets, and a Lithium-Ion battery . Y ou should treat it with care and giv e par ticular atten tion to the following poin ts: • Do not allow the handset , batt ery , or accessories to come into con tact with liquids or moisture at any time.
• Be careful not to place the handset near heat sources (such as a heat er) or too close to the edge of a table. • Use a damp or anti-static cloth to clean the handset. Do not use an ordinary dry cloth or electrost atic cloth. Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaners as these could damage the casing.

HA C Mode When HA C mode is active, your phone sends the audio signals from your phone to the telecoil ra ther than to the microphone of your hearing aid. The HAC setting only impro ves the quality of sound transmitted thr ough the earpiece; it does not affect the speak erphone or a headset.
