7 Getting started Bat t ery installation & char ging Install the batt ery as shown below. Aft er installing the battery , you can mak e and receiv e short calls, but replace the handset in the tel ephone base or charger when not in use. For optimal performance, charge the handset batt ery for at least 16 hours bef ore use.
