17 (ENG ) VQT 2M30 ∫ This unit incorp orates a drain d esign This unit incorporates a drain design, draining water from gaps in the camera [OFF/ ON] button and zoom lever etc. As a result of this, bubbles may come out when you soak the unit in water , b ut it is not a malf unction.

21 (ENG ) VQT 2M30 Charging the Battery ∫ About batteries that you can use with this unit The battery that can be used with this unit is DMW-BCF10PP. • Use the dedicate d charger and bat tery . • The camera has a function for distinguishing batteries which can be used safely .
VQT 2 M30 (E NG ) 22 ∫ About the [CHARGE] indicator • When the [ CHARGE] indicato r flashes – The battery temperatur e is too high or too low . It is reco mmended to charge the ba tter y ag ain i n an am b i e nt temp er ature of between 10 ºC to 35 ºC (50 o F to 95 o F).
23 (ENG ) VQT 2M30 About the Built-in Memo ry/the Card • Memory size: Approx. 40 MB • The built-i n memory can be used as a tempor ary storage dev ice when the card being used beco mes full. • The access time for th e built -in memory may be longe r than the access ti me for a card.

VQT 2 M30 (E NG ) 26 Setting the Menu This section desc ribes how to select the Normal Pictur e Mode settings, and the same setting can be used for the [PLA YBACK] menu and [SETUP] menu as well. Example: S etting [AF MODE] from [ Ø ] to [ š ] in the Normal Pi cture Mode Press [MENU/SET] to close the menu.
