6 Characteristics Multiple number of f ormats supported Switching betw een the 1080i, 720p and 480i f ormats can be accomplished using a menu. T ransition from an SD f or mat system to an HD format system can also be carr ied out smoothly . With the SD f or mat, either 16:9 or 4:3 can be selected as the aspect ratio .
7 Installation precautions In addition to heeding the points presented in the “Safety precautions”, observe the following precautions as well. Concerning the installation location After conf erring in detail with your dealer , choose a sturdy ceiling or other surf ace, and install the unit.
8 Operating precautions Shoot under the proper lighting conditions. T o produce pictures with ey e-pleasing colors, shoot under the proper lighting conditions. The pictures ma y not appear with their proper colors when shooting under fluorescent lights.
9 Concerning the contr oller Controller supported A W -RP655 A W -RP555 A W -RP400 + A W -IF400 + A W-CB400 (System which combines the A W-RP400, A W -IF400 and A W-CB400) It may be necessary to upgrade the version of the contr oller in order to support the unit.

18 Selecting the units Up to f our units can be operated using one accessory wireless remote control. Up to five units and de vices can be operated using one controller . Select the unit (or units) to be operated from the wireless remote control or controller .
19 Selecting the shooting modes (scene files) T ypes of shooting modes This unit has f our preset shooting modes, each of which corresponds to a set of circumstances in which the subject will be shot. Select the mode that satisfies the shooting conditions and suits your pref erences.

27 Manual shooting Manuall y adjusting the shutter speed The shutter speed can be set using two methods. One is a method that specifies the time (where a time such as 1/2 50 sec. is designated), and the other is a method that specifies the frequency (where synchro scan, 60 Hz, etc.

One wa y in volv es using the buttons on the wireless remote control or controller ; the other w ay in v olv es using the Camera Setting menu. The gain can be adjusted more precisely using the Camera Setting menu.
29 Preset memories This unit enables up to 100 settings f or the camera direction (panning and tilting), z oom, f ocus and iris to be registered in its preset memories, and called. Howe ver , the number of settings that can be registered and called depends on the type of wireless remote control or controller that is used f or operation.

34 Blac k balance adjustment Blac k balance adjustment In order f or the blac k to be reproduced accurately , the zero le vels of the three primary colors (RGB) are adjusted. If the blac k balance has shifted out of adjustment, not only will the blac k be reproduced poorly but the color tones of the entire screen will also be degraded.

36 When doing the a djustment using the controller When the A W-RP655 is connected: 1 Press the [ IRI S ] but ton several times to turn off its l amp. Set the iris to the manual ([MANU]) mode. 2 T urn the [ FOCUS / I RI S ] dial to stop down the lens iris.
37 Genloc k adjustment Genloc k adjustment The genlock adjustment is perf ormed to achiev e phase alignment by applying e xternal synchronization (genlock) when a multiple number of camer as will be used or when the unit will be used in combination with other de vices.
