12 USING T HE PRESET AUTO-RH YTHMS Your Con certmate 575 has 100 pres et auto-rhythms that prov ide a steady beat for your m usic. Th e na me and two-digit num ber of each preset auto- rhythm is listed on t he righ t side of the Concertmate 575’s to p panel.

14 USING AUTO- ACCOMPANIM ENT The first 18 keys on the left side of the keyboard with note labe ls above them are called accompanim ent keys. You can set the Concert mate 57 5 to play these t wo types of auto-acc ompa- niment us ing thos e keys.

16 Stan dard Fin gerin g The sta ndard fingering method uses standard f ormations of three or four n otes, and lets the experienced musician play a wider variety of accompani men t chords. You can play the f o llowing 14 chord types on your Concertmate 575, in any k ey, us- ing the standard fingering method.

To start the auto-rhythm and auto- accomp animent at the sam e time , press at least three acc ompani - ment keys to pl ay the desired chord.
18 ADJUSTING TH E POLYP HO NY/T EXTURE The Con certmate 575 le ts you a djust the “polyphony” and “tex ture” of its sound. • Polyphony refers t o the level of harmony and the numbe r of notes (such as 4 or 8 ) played to produ ce the soun d. • Text ure refers to the sound ’ s qual- ity or depth.
