4 2. Preparing your Xda First, insert the supplied CoPilot Live 7 (see fig 1) m emo ry car d in to the ca rd slot of your Xda. Note: Y our CoPilot Live 7 card includes adaptors that will fit MicroSD, MiniSD and standard SD slots. If you’re unsur e about how to insert a Memory Card, please refer to your Xda instructions.
5 3. Installing CoPilot Live 7 T o get you up and running quickly with Sat Nav , we have pre-installed Co Pil ot Liv e 7 S at Nav so ft war e on your Xda. If for some reason you do need to re-install CoPilot Live 7 please follow these instructions. Wh en you tu rn on you r X da , t he CoPilot Live 7 installer should automatically start.

7 4. Starting up Wh en you r X da ha s r es tar te d, tap th e CoPilot icon on the T oday screen. This will launch CoPilot Live 7. Note: Alternatively , you can select Start > CoPilot , or Start > Programs > CoPilot to launch the application.
8 5. Activating CoPilot Live 7 Y ou ’l l n ow be ask ed to ac tiv ate yo ur software. Press Next to activate the licence now or Cancel if you p refe r to a ctiva te it later (see fig 4) . If you cancel the ac tiv ati on , y ou can st ill u se you r C oPi lo t Li ve 7 s of twa re fo r f our d ays un der an evaluation licence.
9 Activation using the Internet connection of your Xda (see fig 5) • T aponInternettoselectitandthen tap Next . • Enteryouremailaddresswhen requested and tap Next . CoPilot Live 7 will try to connect to the Internet using your mobile’ s Internet connection.
10 Activation with your computer’ s In te rne t con ne cti on Y ou should have synchronisation so ftw ar e a nd a cab le sup pl ied wi th you r Xda. This enables you to connect your mobile to a computer with an Internet connection. • T apon Internet to se lec t i t a nd then tap Next .
11 6. Getting started Y ou’ ll see th e A ct iva tio n S ucc ess fu l screen when your softwar e has been activated. T ap Next to co ntinue using CoPi lot Live 7 (see fig 6) . Y ou may need to select and confirm a data region depending on your licence.

14 CoPilot Live 7 has a lot of great features. Y ou can find out about them through the Tips and T ricks that ap pea rs at st art up . If yo u w ant t o t urn of f Ti ps an d T ric ks , just uncheck the ‘ Show Tips and T ricks ’ box (see fig 9) .

22 Avoid traffic* CoPilot Live 7 can receive traffic in for mat ion v ia mob ile In te rnet or through the TMC traffic service. So, CoPilot Live 7 will automatically display any traffic incidents that affect your r out e. It wi ll als o r ec omm en d a n alternative route if you need it.
