7 1. Powe r: Press and hold for 3 seconds t o turn on the tablet. Pres s momentarily to enter Sleep mode . This will turn off displa y and sav e battery lif e. Pres s and hold to turn off . Slide down to shut off the tablet. 2. DC Indicator: Lit when de vice is turned on.
Po w er On/ Off / Standb y Mode ON: Pres s and hold the PO WER button on the side for about 3 sec onds until the logo screen appears, then r elease. OFF: Pres s and hold the PO WER button. When pr ompted, slide finger do wnw ard t o shut off the tablet.
9 First time Setup The first time y ou turn on the tablet, a set up wizard will guide y ou through a number of steps t o personalize y our tablet, set up WiFi and mor e. User and Pass w ord Setup Swipe in war d at left edge of displa y to call up the Charm Menu.
10 Charging the T ablet Batt ery Connect the po wer adapt er to a w all outlet, then to the T ablet as shown. It is rec ommended to fully char ge the battery befor e first use . A battery status indica tor appears in the low er left corner . T ap the battery ic on to vie w the perc entage of battery pow er remaining.
11 Charging the Bluet ooth K e yboard When battery po w er is running low the po w er light will begin to blink indicating that y ou need to r echarge the k e yboard. Step 1: A ttach the long USB cable (included with this keyboar d) to the short tr ansfer cable (included with the tablet).

17 Apps Menu 17 T o display the menu of all a vailable apps, tap and dr ag y our finger upw ard fr om any where below the S tart Menu tiles until you see the Apps Menu. T ype an app name or scroll to view desir ed apps. T o add one to the Start scr een, tap and hold the desired app f or 2 seconds.
18 Connecting t o the Internet This T ablet utilizes WiFi 802. 11b/ g/ n networks t o connect with the internet so tha t you may ac cess the w orld wide w eb, send emails, and do wnload apps. (WiFi distanc e may be aff ected b y your surr ounding envir onment and WiFi r outer).
19 Charm Menu - Search, Shar e, C onnect, Settings Charms help y ou do the things you need t o get done on your tablet including sear ch, print, sharing and changing many of y our tablet settings. Fr om the right edge of the screen, s wipe y our finger inwar d to bring up the Charm Menu c olumn.
