GENERAL INFORMA TION SERVICE INFORMA TION The performance of your new Power Brush greatly depends upon home mainte- nance. The instructions given in the booklet will guide you in performing simple home maintenance. T o obtain the most satisfying years of service, read through these instructions and keep them handy for future reference.

HOW T O ASSEMBLE THE POWER BRUSH 1. Snap together the two interlocking wands. 2. Push assembled wands into Power Brush handle socket so that buttons snap into place. 3. Press cord into channels. 4. Connect power brush cord to hose connection, aligning angled corners of plug to receptacle on hose.
HOW T O USE THE POWER BRUSH NOTE: The Power Brush is not recommended for use on bare floors. W and release on Power Brush allows you to quickly disconnect wands and switch to Combination Floor/Rug T ool for use on bare floors. Always pick up hard or sharp objects by hand before using your Power Brush.
V ACUUMING TIPS Suggested sweeping pattern. For best cleaning action, the Power Brush should be pushed straight away from you and pulled straight back. At the end of each pull stroke, the direc- tion of the Power Brush should be changed to point into the next section to be cleaned.
SOME MODELS The dirt sensor light system is mounted on the Power Brush nozzle near the reset but- ton. It consists of a series of three red lights and one green light. The lights give you an indica- tion of the amount of dirt particles that are passing thru the sensor on its way to the dust bag.
A TT ACHMENT USE CHART EDGE CLEANER Active brush edge cleaners are on both sides of the Power Brush. Guide either side of the Power Brush along the baseboards or next to furniture to help remove dirt trapped at carpet edges. OVERLOAD PROTECTOR The Power Brush has built-in protection against motor and belt damage should the agitator jam.

5. Line up front of cover and base. Rest cover on front edge of base as shown. 7. T ilt back. Press cover firmly until side and rear tabs snap into place.
