About your device The wireless device described in this guid e is approved for use on the WCDMA 900/2100 and GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1 900. Contact your service provider for more information about networks. Your device supports several connec tivity methods and like computers may be exposed to viruses and other harmful content.

Update s oftware us ing your PC Nokia Software Updater is a PC application that enable s you to update your device software. To update your device software, you need a compatible PC, broadband internet access, and a compa tible USB data cable to connect your device to the PC.
Important: Do not use a mini-UICC SIM card, a lso known as a micro-SIM card, a micro-SIM card with an adapter, or a SIM ca rd that has a mini-UICC cutout (see figure) in this device.
3 Close the cover of the SIM card slot. Ma ke sure the cover is properly closed. If the SIM card is not properly in place, the device can only be used in the offline profile. Insert th e batte ry Safe removal. Always switch the device o ff and disconnect the charger before removing the battery.

Find an item with adaptive search Adaptive search makes the char ac ters, letters, numbers, and input sym bols of the entries in your device available for searching. T o t u r n a d a p t i v e s e a r c h o n o r o f f , s e l e c t Menu > Settings and Phon e > Touch input > Adaptive search .
When you activate the offline profile, the co nnection to the cellular network is closed. All radio frequency signals to and from the device to the cellular network are prevented. If you try to send messages using the cellula r network, they are placed in the Outbox folder to be sent later.
