The EN-EL20 is a rechargeable battery for use exclusively in Nikon digital cam- eras with manuals that list the EN-EL20 as a compatible power source. ·The temperature of some parts of the battery may become elevated during charging. Maintaining contact with the battery for prolonged periods could re- sult in low-temperature burns. • You may notice that the battery is hot directly after use or charging; this does not indicate a malfunction.
• While the battery is in storage, charge it at least once every six months and then use the camera to run it flat again be- fore storing it in a cool, dry location. • Always remove the battery from the camera or charger when it is not being used.
