The first time (and only the fir st time) you switch on your set, you see an installation introduction screen. The installation procedure consists of a series of screens that guide you through the process . & After an introduction screen, you are ask ed to select a language of the TV’s on-screen-menus.

4 Note: For most k eys pressing a key once will activ ate the function. Pressing a second time will de-activ ate it. When a key enables multiple options, a small list will be shown. Press repeatedly to select the next item in the list. The list will be removed automatically after 6 seconds or press OK to remove immediately .

6 The Bro wse screen (and the underlying Multimedia content br owser) is intended to contain all content, ser vices, applications you ar e interested to consume. & Press the = ke y to activate. é Press the cursor up/do wn to mov e the highlight up and down in the list of menu items.
7 The Demo menu allo ws the user to get an idea of the features that are part of the television. & Select Demo in the Settings menu and pr ess the cursor right. é Highlight a desired demo with cursor up/do wn. “ Press OK to start playing the highlighted demo .
8 It is possible that the cable company or the TV channel displays a broadcast selection menu. Layout and items are defined by the cable company or the TV channel. Mak e your choice with the cursor and press the OK ke y . Searching for and storing TV channels is done channel by channel.
9 Reshuffle/Rename channels Y ou can change the order of the stored TV channels. It is also possible to change the name stored in the memory or to assign a name to a TV channel or external for which a name has not yet been entered. A name with up to 5 letters or numbers can be giv en to the programme n umber 0 to 99 and to the externals.
10 Software upgrade This menu allows y ou to upgrade your TV softwar e using a USB device or Memor y Car d device. USB de vice/Memor y Car d upgrade It is possible to initiate an upgrade procedur e from a USB device or Memor y car d device befor e star ting up the TV .
11 This menu is used to contr ol the settings of special TV functions, features and peripheral equipment. The Pr eferences menu allows y ou to change settings that will typically be accessed only occasionally . The Sour ce menu allows you to select a sour ce .
12 Menu pr efer ences OSD & Select OSD . é Press the cursor right to select Normal or Minimum . Normal to activate the continuous displa y of the channel number (for 10 minutes) and extended displa y of TV channel and pr ogramme information on screen.
13 Decoder If a decoder or a descrambler is connected, see p. 24, you can define one or more channel n umbers as decoder channel numbers. & Select Decoder in the Setup menu. é Press the cursor right to select Channel . “ Select the channel number under which y ou ha ve stored the pr ogramme coming from y our decoder .
14 Press the MENU ke y on the remote contr ol to summon the Settings menu. The TV menu gives you an o ver view of the men us you can select. 18 Smart colour modes: • P ersonal : Select any colour or hue to match to y our personal taste, e .g. your interior , the programme content (sports, movie, etc.), the mood you ar e in, etc. • W arm white : The colour is matched to that of most normal lightbulbs.
19 The Multimedia bro wser lets you displa y pictures or pla y audio files stored on a USB device or a memory card. The Multimedia bro wser application is invok ed from the Br owse menu (press the = ke y) by selecting a device and pr essing the cursor right.

21 Most TV channels broadcast information via teletext. This TV has a 1200 pages memor y that will stor e most broadcasted pages and subpages to reduce waiting time. After each programme change, the memory is refr eshed. Switch T eletext on and off Press b to switch the teletext on.

23 There is a wide range of audio and video equipment that can be connected to y our TV . The following connection diagrams sho w you ho w to connect them.
24 Note: Do not place your recorder too close to the screen as some recorders may be susceptible for signals from the display . Keep a minimum distance of 0,5 m from the screen. Connect the aerial cables 1 , 2 and, to obtain the optimum picture quality , eurocable 3 as shown.
