18 T o enable Multi-Streaming function, you need to connect a front panel audio cable to the front panel audio header . After restarting your computer , you will fi nd “Mixer” tool on your system. Please select “Mixer T oolBox” , click “Enable playback multi-streaming”, and click “ok”.
19 Chapter 2: Installation This is an A TX form factor (12.0" x 9.6", 30.5 x 24.4 cm) motherboard. Before you install the motherboard, study the con fi guration of your chassis to ensure that the motherboard fi ts into it. Make sure to unplug the power cord before installing or removing the motherboard.
20 2.3 CPU Installation For the installation of Intel 1 155-Pin CPU, please follow the steps below . Before you insert the 1 155-Pin CPU into the socket, please check if the CPU surface is unclean or if there is any bent pin on the socket. Do not force to insert the CPU into the socket if above situation is found.

22 2.4 Installation of CPU F an and Heatsink This motherboard is equipped with 1 155-Pin socket that supports Intel 1 155-Pin CPU. Please adopt the type of heatsink and cooling fan compliant with Intel 1 155- Pin CPU to dissipate heat.
23 2.5 Installation of Memor y Modules (DIMM) This motherboard provides four 240-pin DDR3 (Double Data Rate 3) DIMM slots, and supports Dual Channel Memory T echnology . For dual channel con- fi guration, you always need to install identical (the same brand, speed, size and chip-type) DDR3 DIMM pair in the slots of the same color .
24 Installing a DIMM Please make sure to disconnect power supply before adding or removing DIMMs or the system components. Step 1. Unlock a DIMM slot by pressing the retaining clips outward. Step 2. Align a DIMM on the slot such that the notch on the DIMM matches the break on the slot.
25 2.6 Expansion Slots (PCI and PCI Express Slots) There are 2 PCI slots and 5 PCI Express slots on this motherboard. PCI slots: PCI slots are used to install expansion cards that have the 32-bit PCI interface.
26 2.7 SLI TM and Quad SLI TM Operation Guide This motherboard supports NVIDIA ® SLI TM and Quad SLI TM (Scalable Link Interface) technology that allows you to install up to three identical PCI Express x16 graphics cards. Currently , NVIDIA ® SLI TM technology supports Windows ® XP / XP 64-bit / Vista TM / Vista TM 64-bit / 7 / 7 64-bit OS.
27 Step4. Connect a VGA cable or a DVI cable to the monitor connector or the DVI connector of the graphics card that is inserted to PCIE2 slot. Step3. Align and insert SLI_Bridge_2S Card to the gold fi ngers on each graphics card. Make sure SLI_Bridge_2S Card is fi rmly in place.
28 2.7.2 Driver Installation and Setup Install the graphics card drivers to your system. After that, you can enable the Multi- Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) feature in the NVIDIA ® nView system tray utility . Please follow the below procedures to enable the multi-GPU feature.

34 The Catalyst Uninstaller is an optional download. We recommend using this utility to uninstall any previously installed Catalyst drivers prior to installation. Please check AMD website for A TI TM driver updates. Step 3. Install the required drivers to your system.

36 2.10 Jumpers Setup The illustration shows how jumpers are setup. When the jumper cap is placed on pins, the jumper is “Short”. If no jumper cap is placed on pins, the jumper is “Open”. The illustration shows a 3-pin jumper whose pin1 and pin2 are “Short” when jumper cap is placed on these 2 pins.

Then, the drivers compatible to your system can be auto-detected and listed on the support CD driver page. Please follow the order from up to bottom side to install those required drivers.

60 2.22 T eaming Function Operation Guide Dual LAN with T eaming function enabled on this motherboard allows two single connections to act as one single connection for twice the transmission bandwidth, making data transmission more effective and improving the quality of transmission of distant images.

72 3.4.2 North Bridge Configuration Low MMIO Align Low MMIO resources align at 64MB/1024MB. The default value is [64MB]. VT -d Use this to enable or disable Intel ® VT -d technology (Intel ® Virtualization T echnology for Directed I/O). The default value of this feature is [Disabled].
73 3.4.3 South Bridge Configuration Restore on AC/Power Loss This allows you to set the power state after an unexpected AC/power loss. If [Power Off] is selected, the AC/power remains off when the power recovers. If [Power On] is selected, the AC/power resumes and the system starts to boot up when the power recovers.
74 3.4.4 Storage Configuration Marvell SA T A3 Operation Mode This item is for SA T A3_M1 to SA T A3_M4 ports. Use this to select Marvell SA T A3 operation mode. Con fi guration options: [IDE Mode], [AHCI Mode] and [Disabled]. The default value is [IDE Mode].

78 3.5 Hardware Health Event Monitoring Screen In this section, it allows you to monitor the status of the hardware on your system, including the parameters of the CPU temperature, motherboard temperature, CPU fan speed, chassis fan speed, and the critical voltage.
79 3.6 Boot Screen In this section, it will display the available devices on your system for you to con fi g- ure the boot settings and the boot priority . Boot Option Priorities Boot Option #1 Set the fi rst priority of the system boot device. Boot Option #2 Set the second priority of the system boot device.
80 3.7 Security Screen In this section, you may set or change the supervisor/user password for the system. For the user password, you may also clear it.
81 3.8 Exit Screen Save Changes and Exit When you select this option, it will pop-out the following message, “Save con fi guration changes and exit setup?” Select [OK] to save the changes and exit the UEFI SETUP UTILITY .
82 Chapter 4: Sof tware Support 4.1 Install Operating System This motherboard supports various Microsoft ® Windows ® operating systems: 7 / 7 64-bit / Vista TM / Vista TM 64-bit / XP / XP 64-bit. Because motherboard settings and hardware options vary , use the setup procedures in this chapter for general refer- ence only .
83 Installing OS on a HDD L arger Than 2TB This motherboard is adopting UEFI BIOS that allows Windows ® OS to be installed on a large size HDD (>2TB). Please follow below procedure to install the operating system. 1. Please make sure to use Windows ® Vista TM 64-bit (with SP1 or above) or Windows ® 7 64-bit .
