11 Basic Course Below are step by step instructions to help you achieve the best possible dishwashing results. Load the baskets correctly! Thanks to Super Cleaning System™, you do not need to rinse the dishes under running water . Convenient and environmentally friendly! Scrape off large f ood par ticles before loading the machine .
12 Press the power main switch Select program Select a program by pressing the program button one or more times until the required program is displayed. Heavy wash The Heavy W ash program should be used for heavily soiled dishes, e.g. saucepans, pots and gratin dishes.
13 Select options T o select options press the Menu button one or more times until the desired option ap- pears in the display windo w . Delayed start If you w ant the machine to star t later , select the delay ed star t option. 1. By pressing the Set button, you can select a time delay of betw een 0.
14 Eco-dishwashing Only wash with a full load Put off dishwashing until the machine is full, and in this wa y you will sa v e energy . W ash at a lower temperature If the dishes are only lightly soiled you can select a lower temperature. Select option Econom y drying T o sav e more energy , use Econom y dr ying.
15 Special settings Buzzer volume If you wish, the machine will emit a buzzer signal to let you know when it is finished. Adjust the volume with the Set button. Se- lect from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0 = Off. Continue with the Menu button to make fur- ther adjustments or press Star t/Stop.
16 Machine information By pressing the Set button, you can see how much water the machine used the last time it was oper ated. Y ou can also see how many times it has been used since it was new . T o exit Special settings Press the Menu b utton or Star t/Stop.
17 Press Start The dishwasher will no w star t. It manages the entire wash automatically . Ensure that the door is properly closed or the machine will not star t. The displa y shows ‘Program star ted’. If the door is open or not properly closed, ‘Close door’ appears in the displa y .
18 Fragile dishes A number of household goods are not suit- able f or machine washing. There can be many reasons f or this. Cer tain mater ials cannot withstand intense heat, others can be damaged by the dishwasher detergent. Fragile decoration China with decoration on top of the glaze (the ar ticle has a rough f eel) should not be machine washed.

20 When you have selected program and option, the display shows the length of time the program took the last time it was used. When you ha ve star ted the machine, the display window shows an approximate duration.
21 Cleaning The dishwasher’ s inner container is made of stainless steel and is kept clean through nor- mal use. Howe v er , if you ha ve calcif erous (hard) water , lime deposits can form in the dishwasher . In this case, run a nor mal wash program with two tablespoons of citric acid in the dishwasher detergent compar tment.
22 If y ou still cannot star t the machine and a humming noise can be heard, then the over- filling protection has been activated. • Shutoff the water • Remove the plug from the wall socket • Call Service CA UTION! Do not forget to replace the pump plug.
23 Rinse aid Select dosage The dispenser is usually set at 1= soft wa- ter . How ev er , depending on the water hardness you may need to change the dosage. Open the rinse aid cover . Here you will find the dispenser’ s adjustment dial. Set- tings 1-6: the harder the water , the higher the dosage.
24 Salt Add salt Before using a dishwasher with a water softening filter , you m ust fill the salt com- par tment with salt. Use coarse salt or spe- cial salt for dishwashers. It is best to fill with salt when you are about to do a wash, as the dishwasher needs to be rinsed out immediately after filling.

27 Problems P ossible causes Action • T oo high dosage of r inse aid. • Cer tain food remnants such as mustard, mayon- naise, lemon, vinegar , salt and dressings can cause stains on stainless steel if allowed to remain for any length of time. All stainless steel can mark silver if allowed to come into contact during the dishwashing process.

31 Connection to water supply There must be a shut-off tap on the water supply pipe. The shut-off tap should be positioned above the work surface or at the front of the sink unit. The water supply pipe has a connection with a 1/2” or 3/4” internal thread depend- ing on countr y .
32 For installation of two machines T o a void ha ving to extend the drain hose , we recommend that the machines be posi- tioned either side of the sink, where possi- ble. If you do decide to place the machines side by side, the drain hose may be extended by a maximum of 3 metres.
33 Electrical connection The machines are equipped with a lead and plug to be connected to two sockets, each fitted with a 10 A fuse. The machines must be positioned so that the contacts are ac- cessible. Repairs and maintenance relating to safety or performance must be carried out by a qualified professional.
34 P ositioning the machine A. Adjusting freestanding dishwashers 1. Adjust the height of the dishwasher with the four steel feet. 2. Lock the feet with the nuts. NB! The dishwasher must not be allow ed to lean more than 5 mm. 3. After the steel feet have been adjusted, screw down the two rubber feet tightly against the floor .
35 Slide the dishwasher into place • Pull the drainage hose and connection pipe when the machine is pushed into place. • Check that the hose has no kinks or sharp bends, and check that there is nothing that can damage the hoses. Installing the plinth (kick plate) The dishwasher has two kick-plates (some models).
36 Setting water hardness (machines with water softener) Bef ore star ting to use the dishwasher , you should set the correct w ater hardness. Phone your local w ater board to ascer tain the water hardness in y our area. The machine is set for low w ater hardness on delivery .
