INSTALLATION IMPORT ANT : • Disconnect telephone line c ord before removing battery cover to replace the batteries. Battery cover mu st be in place at all other times. • Replace all batteries every si x (6) months. • When the lo w battery indicator appears on the LCD, repl ace all batteries immediately .
INSTALLATION Connecting an Additional Device An additional analogue dev ice, such as an answering machine, facsimile machine or PC modem can be connected in parallel with this teleph one. Connect one end of the li ne cord to the DA T A socket on the rear of the telephone and the other end to the LI NE socket on the additional device.
INITIAL SETUP Selecting the Dialling Mode Set the dialling mode s w itch to either DP (Pulse) or MF (T one) to se lect the signalling type. The correct mode depends on the requirements of the PBX to which the telephone is connected. Setting the LCD Contrast There are 5 display contrast settings.
INITIAL SETUP Setting the Flash Time The correct hookflash timing depends on the requirements of the PBX to which the telephone is connec ted. 1. Ensure the phone is id le. 2. Dial ¿ 4 1 ¿ . 3. Dial 00 to 06 to select from the follo w ing list of hookflash timings.

FEA TURES FLASH Key The FLASH key works the sa me as the hook switch of the phone. When the FLASH key is pressed during a conv ersation, it may terminate the call or place the call on hold and you will hear dia l tone allowing yo u to dial the next phone number .
FEA TURES Memory Redial The last 30 telephone numb ers dialled (up to 21 digits each) are stored in the Outgoing Call Memory . T o dial from the Outgoing Call Memory: 1. FEA TURES One-T ouch Dialling This telephone set is equipp ed with 10 one-touch dial memory keys for programming your most frequentl y dialled telephone numbers.
FEA TURES Caller ID (CLI) This telephone set will display Caller ID (CLI) information received w ith incoming calls. The last 90 Caller ID numbers received are automatically stored in CLI memory (up to 21 digits each). The numbers stored in CLI memory may be reviewed , deleted, or dialled back i f desired.
