Chann elMag Section 1 Introd uction The ChannelMag C M2 is suitable f or open channels having diver se c ross sectional shapes from 6” to 200 feet ( 150 mm to 6 0 m). They meet or exceed the r equirements of I SO 9 213 and are calibrate d in a long open tank, b elieved to be the largest NIST traceable facility available.
Chan el Mag Sectio n I Intro ducc ion The ChannelMag P M2 Series is suitable for fu ll or partia lly full pipes from 2 0” to 120 ” ( 500 - 3000 mm). They meet or exceed the requirements of I SO 92 13 and ar e calibrated in a long open tank, belie ved to b e the largest NIST tr aceable facility availab le.
ChannelMag Sectio n 1 Introdu ction Before installation, make sure the oper ating e nvironments of the flow meter and ancillary eq uipment are co nsistent w ith appro priate national approvals such as USA UL or NEC, Canadian CSA, European CE. The installation m ust b e carried out b y qualified personnel only.
Chann elMag Section 2 Installa tion The ChannelMag is suitable for such media as water, raw sewage, slurries, algae laden r iver water, and similar. The minim um media conductivity is 0.5 microS/cm for op eration with pulsed AC transmitters. Most water based media has a conductivity of 200 – 800 microS/cm.
Channel / Pipe ChannelMag Sectio n 2 Installa tion the electro de cables and the ener gizer coil cab le within the junction box. Do not use silicone rubbe r (RTV) for po tting, since it contains acetic acid which can corr ode the j unction box terminals.
