5 - 2 5 - 2 MELSEC-Q 5 BASIC USAGE POINT For 1-phase pulse input and counting up, make sure that the phase B pulse input and CH Down count command (Y3, YB) are of f before inputting puls es to phase A. When the phase B pulse inp ut or CH Down count command (Y3, YB) is on, pulses are counted down in phase A pulse inpu t.

5 - 7 5 - 7 MELSEC-Q 5 BASIC USAGE 5.3 Using the Coincid ence Output Function The coincidence output fun ction presets any c ount value, compares it with the present counter value, and outputs a signal when th ey match. For the coincidence outpu t, 2 points can be set for each c hannel.

5 - 11 5 - 11 MELSEC-Q 5 BASIC USAGE 5.4 Using the Preset F unction The preset function rewrites the present c ounter value to any numeric value called the preset value. The preset function can be used when starting the pul s e count from the preset value.

6 - 4 6 - 4 MELSEC-Q 6 CONVENIENT USAGE 6.2 Using the Disabl e Count Function The disable count function stops the cou nt operation while the count enable command is ON. The relationships between the count enable command, counter function selection start command and the present counter value are illustrated below.
