3 Precautions and notices For your own safety, do not operate the controls of the product while driving. A window mount is needed when using the recorder in a c ar. Make sure that you place the recorder in an appropriate plac e, so as not to obstruct the driver’s view or deployment of airbags.
4 Getting to know the recorder Front and rear components 2 5 4 7 6 3 1 Name Description Camera lens Make sure that no object is blocking the camera lens and no reflective material appears near the lens. Speaker Provides sound alerts. OK key Acts as the ENTER button.
5 Name Description Menu key Enters the Settings menu. Returns to the previous screen. Status indicator Glows in green when the recorder is tur ned ON. Glows in red when recording is in progress. Side compon ents 4 5 2 1 3 6 Name Description Mini-USB connector Connects to the charger.
6 Name Description Reset switch Restarts the recorder. Memory card slot Data is recorded to a MicroSD card. Note: You are advised to use a Class 6 memory card with at least 8GB capacity. Power key Press and hold this key to tu rn ON and OFF the recorde r.
7 To remove card, gently push the top edge of the card inwards to release it, and pull it out of the slot. Note: Navman Technology does not guarantee the prod uct’s compatibilities with M icroSD cards fro m all manufacturers.
8 3 1 2 2 2 1 Use cable clips to secure the po wer cord so that it does not interfere while driving. To ensure the highest qual ity recordings, you are advised to place the recorder near the rear view mirror.
9 Connecting t o an exter nal devic e For a better viewing exper ience, you can conn e ct the recorder to an external viewing device that supports the High Definition (HD) feature via a HD cable (not supplied). Operating basics CAUTION: DO NOT remove or insert the memory card wh ile recording.

Playback mode To play the latest video recordings: 1. If the recording is in progress, press t he ▼ key to stop recording.
12 Note: To play MiVue 358 videos on your computer, pl ease make sure that you have downloaded and installed Quick Time Player on your computer. File management CAUTION: Deleted files cannot be recovered. Make sure to back up your files before deletion.
13 Item Description Time Stamp Shows or hides time and date in the recordings. Resolution Sets the image resolution. LCD Standby Sets the timer for the LCD to turn off automatically (i n specified time) afte r recording starts. Record Voice Sets if you want to include sounds in the recordings.
14 Caring for your device Taking good care of your devi ce will ensure trouble-free operation and reduce the risk of damage. Keep your device away from exces siv e moisture and extreme temperatures. Avoid exposing your device to direct sunlig ht or strong ultraviolet light for extended periods of time.
15 To discourage theft, do not leave the dev ice and accesso ries in pla in view in an unattended vehicle. Overheating may damage the device. Regulatory information Safety precautions About charging Use only the charger supplied with your device.
