12 The Auto Clock function will automatically set the built-in clock (Month, Day , Y ear and Time) when the TV/VCR is connected to an Antenna or Cable system and it is turned off. As the TV/VCR searches for a receivable station in your area, it will also receive a broadcast signal for Auto Clock which will automati- cally set the clock and date.
13 ENGLISH Y ou must set the date and time manually for Timer Recordings, ON/OFF Timer and Daylight Saving Time if the Auto Clock process did not set them correctly . EXAMPLE: Setting the clock to “ 8:30 AM ” , 26th (SA T) October , 2002. 1 Press the MENU button.
14 Press the CALL button. The clock, date, channel number , real time tape counter , tape speed and VCR operation will be indicated. Press CALL button again to remove the call display . Press MUTING button to switch of f the sound. The TV/VCR ’ s sound will be silenced and “ MUTING ” will briefly appear on the screen.
15 ENGLISH Captions: This Closed Caption Mode will display text on the screen in English or another language (depending on the setting of the Closed Captions CH. 1 or 2). Generally , Closed Captions in English are transmitted on Captions Channel 1 and Closed Captions in other languages are transmitted on Captions Channel 2.
16 1 Press the MENU button. 2 Press the SET/TRACKING + or – button to select the CH SET -UP mode, then press the ENTER button. 3 Press the SET/TRACKING + or – button to select the ADD/ DELETE mode, then press the ENTER button.
17 ENGLISH T O SET THE OFF TIMER 1 Press the MENU button. Press the SET/TRACKING + or – button to select the TV SET -UP option, then press the ENTER button. 2 Press the SET/TRACKING + or – button to select the ON/OFF TIMER option, then press the ENTER button.
18 Picture controls are factory preset but you can adjust them individually as follows: 1 T o display the picture adjustment screen, press the MENU button. Press the SET/TRACKING + or – button to select the TV SET -UP option, then press the ENTER button.
19 ENGLISH When a tape is played, the Digital Auto T racking system automatically adjusts the tracking to obtain the best possible picture. If noise bars appear during playback, adjust the tracking manually as follows: • Press the SET/TRACKING + or – button to obtain the best possible picture.
20 When either the F .FWD or REW button is pressed in the PLA YBACK mode, the speed search picture will appear . When pressed twice, the search picture will increase speed. Speed search time depends upon the speed used (SP , LP or SLP) during recording.
21 ENGLISH EXAMPLE: One-touch T imer Recording for 30 minutes. Timer recording can be programmed on-screen with the remote control. The built-in timer allows automatic unattended recording of up to 8 programs within 1 month. EXAMPLE: Program a timer recording for 23rd day , channel 007 (CA TV), 7:00 - 9:30 PM (T ape speed : SLP).
22 When setting the date in the step 4 on page 21, press the SET/ TRACKING – button repeatedly when the current day is displayed. The setting changes as follows: NOTES: • The everyday/every week recording can be made continuously until the recording is canceled or the tape reaches the end.
23 ENGLISH If you connect the TV/VCR to another VCR or Camcorder , you can duplicate a previously recorded tape. Make all connections before turning on the power . 1 Insert a blank cassette with the erase prevention tab intact into the TV/VCR. Insert a previously recorded cassette into the play- back VCR or Camcorder .

25 ENGLISH 10,1 1 The video cassette's erase prevention tab is broken off. The time is not set correctly . The recording start/end time is not set correctly . The TIMER REC button has not been pressed (The T -REC indicator is not lit). Place a piece of vinyl tape over the hole.

Usually caused by interference from automobile ignition systems, neon lamps or AC powered tools and appliances such as drills or hair dryers. GHOSTS Ghosts are caused by the television signal following two paths.

10 Raccordez le c â ble de 75 ohms de l'antenne VHF et le fil jumel é de l'antenne UHF de 300 ohms au multiplexeur (non fourni) et branchez ce dernier sur la prise d'antenne. Si vous utilisez une antenne int é rieure ou ext é rieure, suivez les directives ci-dessous, qui correspondent à votre genre d'antenne.

12 AJUSTEMENT AUTOMA TIQUE DE L ’ HORLOGE 1 Pressez la touche MENU. Pressez la touche SET/TRACKING + ou – pour choisir le mode SYSTEM SET - UP , puis pressez la touche ENTER. 2 Pressez la touche SET/TRACK- IN G + ou – pour choisir le mode DA YLIGHT SA VING TIME, puis pressez la touche ENTER.

17 FRAN Ç AIS REMARQUES: • Pour annuler la minuterie de mise hors tension automatique, suivez les é tapes 1-5 ci-dessus, puis pressez SET/TRACKING + ou – pour choisir la position CANCEL. Pressez la touche MENU pour retourner au t é l é viseur .
18 COULEUR (COLOR) Pressez la touche ENTER jusqu' à ce que le mot "COLOR" apparaisse à l' é cran, puis pressez la touche SET/TRACKING + ou – pour r é gler l'intensit é des couleurs. Un r é glage optimal est obtenu quand les couleurs paraissent normales en intensit é et en brillance.
19 FRAN Ç AIS Lors de la lecture d'une bande, le syst è me d'alignement num é rique r è gle automatiquement l'alignement afin d'obtenir la meilleure image possible. Si des barres parasites apparaissent sur l'image pendant la lecture, r é glez manuellement l'alignement.
20 POUR ARRETER L'ENREGISTREMENT 4 Pressez les touches num é riques ou la touche CHANNEL + ou – pour choisir le canal dif fusant l' é mission que vous voulez enregistrer . 5 Pressez la touche REC/OTR. " ● " et le num é ro de canal appara î t à l' é cran et l'indicateur REC/OTR s'allume.
