Preface About this User's Guide What you will learn from this user's guide This user's guide explain s how to inst all, confi gure, and us e the PCI-DAS 1002 so that y ou get the most out of its analog, digital, and timing I/O features.
Chapter 1 Introducing the PCI-DAS1002 Overview: PCI-DAS1002 features This manual explains how to install and u se the PCI-DAS1002. This board is a multifunctio n analog and digital I/O board desi gned f or the PCI bus. The PCI-DAS1002 p rovides either 16 single-ended or eight differential analog inputs.

Chapter 3 Programming and Developing Applications After following the installatio n instructions in Ch apter 2 , your board should now be inst alled and ready for use. Although the b oard is part of the larger D AS family , in general there may be no c orrespondence among registers for different boards.
Chapter 4 Calibrating the Board Introduction Calibrate the board u sing the Insta Cal utility after the board has fully warmed up. The reco mmended warm-up time is 15 m inutes. For best results, cal ibrate the boa rd immedi ately before m aking critical measurements.
